For the past ten years i've strictly worn G-Shocks, (i'm a very rough user) plus i work in a chemical plant.

Finally decided to buy a classier watch, its my first foray into this world so i started off small. Found a good deal on amazon.

I plan on splurging on a more expensive watch eventually, but not before i do my research!

Share your watches! Any recommendations on underrated watches? And don't be shy to show off that IWC ;)

My dad's a watch fanatic. He handed me down this one. Really love it.

...and my Dad just retired recently and decided to hook himself up with a Rolex Submariner. Perfect looking watch.

Wow, what was your dad's reaction when you gave him that watch?

I only wear the best. I believe a man should dress his finest at all times. That is why I choose Rolox.

I got a Ulysse Nardin Marine Diver that I really like. I have both the rubber deployment and the stainless steel band. The retail was about $8000, but you can get one used or off some internet dealer for about $6xxx

    http://www.ulysse-nardin.com/en/swi...ne/Marine_Diver/Marine_Diver/263-33-3_92.html

I like it because its sporty yet sophisticated. Also, not too many people have them. Ive only seen one other person wearing one and it was a really expensive one around $50K.

I also have some Rolexes, but I don't wear them that much because the face is smaller around 40mm. For rolex, I do like the GMT2 with the 2 time zone.

Buying watches is an addicting hobby. I used to have 5 watches that were priced between $100 and $500 but ended up selling them all and currently have one omega right now.

Definitely learn about the different types of movements first before you spend the money. Don't get ripped off buying an $800 quartz .

I'm currently wearing this Vacheron Constantin. [IMG]

I'm a frequent poster on a watch forum since I'm obsessed with collecting timepieces. I suggest visiting places like those dedicated forums, and reading some of the sticky threads for people wanting to buy a good watch. I suggest a solid quartz from Seiko, Citizen, or Tissot, and then maybe a mechanical movement by Hamilton or Frederique Constant.

Thank you. Your father has good taste. :)

I really liked the Overseas. I have an AP Royal Oak which has a similar style to your watch, but with a smaller 39mm case.
