I know that you referenced Obama Sr. But you also asked about the "nut" falling far from the tree. So referenced the "nut" and not the tree.

Obamacare isn't socialist at all. Perhaps you need a better understanding of socialism. The govt. does not run the health care. That is still done by private industry in most cases.

Speaking perhaps for all those who have placed the problem on ignore, if those that haven't would consider not quoting him it would be much appreciated... :)

Socialism is in the program even though we have not gone government controlled single payer. The socialism exists via the wealth redistribution and subsidies offered up to 400% of the federal poverty level. Now maybe you think a family of four making over $90,000 per year needs subsidies, but I bet that is more money then a lot of posters here make and hardly requires welfare assistance.

Somebody die and make you king/queen? Is this your personal world where you can't be bothered being exposed to contrarian opinions? Maybe you've lost site of the fact that a forum should offer a variety of opinions and styles and not just be your personal echo chamber.

    This discussion is stupid.

Who cares what or whom the President's father was or did.

The fact is Obama has been elected twice and passed the most important and difficult legislation since LBJ and is getting positive reviews for his handling of the economy. Not to mention his status as an icon.

Besides, why the hell bring up Obama's father when Ted Cruz' father supported and fought for the biggest socialist in this hemisphere, Fidel Castro. Then there is the fact that Ted Cruz was birthed in the socialist winterland of Canada!

Lets cut the BS. Obama isn't a socialist anymore than Ted Cruz is a fascist.

Obama isn't a Muslim, as he has had NO problem spreading Muslim blood far and wide and had been about as hardcore Neo Con when it comes to the handling of foreign "threats".

Ted Cruz is a very gifted politician and Jurist.

Which is why I didn't quote him.

The Ted Cruz discussion is worth having. Either the troll should be banned or a new thread should be made by one of his sane supporters.

Some are scared of the truth. Cruz says stuff that isn't approved by harry Reid. That makes good debate, unless you are commie.

His posts are an excellent amalgamation of the extremist talking points for Limbaugh, Hannity, Levine, et al. This is like just getting an update on what crazy **** they've been talking about this year. There is no problem that can't be solved my conservative rhetoric and inaction.

What's annoying is how people think charges of insanity/insincerity are substitutes for reasoned argument. As in "Ted Cruz is crazy, derp. Ted Cruz doesn't believe what he says, derp." It's a product of our Stewart/Colbert/Maher generation.

Cruz addresses the arguments made with arguments of his own. It's what made him a champion debater at Harvard, and what made him an effective litigator in front of The Supreme Court.

The source of the arguments should be largely irrelevant. But it's easier to just shout "liar, maniac, jerk" at the person making them.

I'm not spewing anything. I love all. I even love Obama. I pray for him. Hate the sin, not the sinner. I'm not happy he destroys the country I love. But I don't hate.

Why should I be banned and not you? Ted Cruz is a fine man. Talented. And not afraid to speak his mind. On this Carville is correct.

I have no idea. It was just one of the all-time best smear ads during the Republican primary a few years ago.

    OK, that was good.

The first amendment does not protect reasonable speech, it protects what the government may consider unreasonable speech. Kind of ironic that you want someone banned and silenced for having views different than yours. That's the kind of democrats that Ted Cruz speaks against.

Fortunately, you are not the arbitrator of what is reasonable and what is unreasonable.

And I realize all to well, that I have no free speech here, but as fellow Americans, we should still value the freedom we afford to one another, even when legally we are not required to do so, we should still respect one another as I respect your right to say things, even things I disagree with.
