LOL. If we had a true insiders forum with a paid subscription, you'd be trying to steal a subscriber's id and password.

my last post responding to you and I'm done.

I come to this board for several reasons:
    • intelligent takes from select posters
    • being suprised when a new poster comes along with great new takes
    • statistical analysis shared from sites I don't subscribe to
    • compilation of articles about the team
    • rumors of things that could happen
    • and frankly, because some of the posters here have a wicked sense of humor that cracks me up

I don't take anything too seriously and would never pay for insider access to anything. Why? Even when Doc was at his best and providing frequent intel, so much of it rarely panned out. When I was younger, I would pass these things on to my friends as gospel, only to feel foolish when they didn't pan. That was on me, not Doc. I learned and recognized the mechanics involved and why the information would so rarely come to fruition. With this being the case, why would you pay to read rumors that have an nth of a chance of ever happening?

And as previuosly stated, given the hard work and effort he has put in over the years, I feel a sense of loyalty to clutch and this site and wouldn't want to be part of a spinoff that potentially jeopordizes the viability of clutchfans.

One day, clutch will shut this board down and take a break. And on that day, kudos to him. After this board is done, I won't be seeking out a replacement.

What would your connection to this fantasy land be? You're not an insider, or is Love a Rocket? That must be the hold up on the Terry trade.

I remember back in the day arguing over basketball stuff. I remember going at it day after day, week after week, and month after month with DaDa over whether Brooks or Lowry was better. He was a Brooks guy. I was all over Lowry. We duked it out over those two players over and over again. But we had fun with it. I respected and do respect his basketball acumen and I'm pretty sure he grew to respect me as well. We taunted each other constantly over that argument. But at the end of the day it wasn't mean-spirited. There was a mutual respect that remained constant and is still there today. It was fun.

Unfortunately Dada very rarely posts here anymore. And this board is losing because of it. He should be here giving his insights. Because he's got more insight than 90% of the posters here do. As does Doc and as did Pops.

I wished we could go back to the good old days when we could disagree strongly on an issue but it not get personal and turn into the typical macho bravado which does nothing but incite street fight posts that just clutter up the board with non-basketball crap. Stuff like posters demanding you prove stuff to them while they call you an a..hole. Instead of them doing their own digging and DISPROVING what a veteran poster put up.

Give me the good old days of Dada hammering the boards to get to 100,000 posts over all this mess anytime. At least he put up considerable good content. And at least he knew the game and the league. Give me the good old days of Doc's cryptic posts. We had more fun trying to decipher them then we do now. Give me the good old days of Pops dropping a bomb and sending us into a frenzy...even when all the bombs didn't actually come to fruition. At least we had more flavor of what was actually happening down at TC than we do now with insiders just dropping like flies while posters that know nothing but their opinions crap on everything they don't come up with.

I guess I'm an old timer. Give me the good old days.

then you really don't get it. He was given a timeout because he was spamming the board. And his takes were horrible. Absolutely horrible.

His takes were great compared to 90% of what goes on here now.

I am kind of surprised it has not been locked. I have seen many threads locked over a lot less.

But like everywhere in life. Any time you find a good thing all it takes is a couple of c*ck washers to screw it up.

Most of his takes are awful. He just happens to be a likable guy and his passion for the rockets is unquestioned. We know that as opinionated as he is, he put the rockets first. I know that DD and most 99'ers would gladly be wrong if it meant the rockets winning. Not trying to sound like Tinman, but that is what separates the old timers, and the newbs. That is why I trust Plowman even if this doesn't pan out. He would not put his rep on the line just to get noticed. If he cared about his 15 minutes of fame, he would have done over 10 years ago.

StuDogg is freaking blowing this ish' up. So awesome. BBHOLLIC aren't you the Chan Parsons isn't going anywhere guy? When did you become an insider?

I'm not denying you don't have inside info but I wouldn't think you'd get an invite to your own super board proposal.

Rockets needed a vet with experience and got him along with expiring contract. What did you expect

I thought I've seen it all.

Now "someone" is really going to attempt to come onto clutchfans.net and persuade posters, long time and new, to actually PAY a subscription to join what can only be looked at as a competing website with "REAL insider Rockets info" from who exactly???"

Not only is that disrespectful to the people that keep this site afloat, its also a dishonest attempt at stealing money from people who don't know any better. Maybe you would get true insider info every once in awhile but even if there is SOME insider info you get that you don't get anywhere else on the internet, I don't see any way how 95% of the junk that would come on that website would be "Bait and Switch".

Or maybe this is just all about a certain few that want to separate themselves as the "cool kids" at the lunch table to feel better about themselves.

Its just sad man. Its just a F-ing internet basketball fan site. Get a life.

Yeah I think this is totally disrespectful. I have many more thoughts, but will keep them to myself. DISRESPECTFUL.
