Sure. of course. You take what you can get. I'm just telling folks to not get so boxed in on the traditional thinking of roster building. For the most part whoever is playing next to Harden in the back court is going to be playing the "Support Guard" role most of the time on the floor, and there is a good reason why Morey was targeting guys that aren't necessarily traditional "Point Guards" in free agency this year. The reason was he obviously saw higher impact elsewhere with other targets. As for the "need 2 play maker" point you made. If McHale continues to keep the offense as simplistic as it is, yeah you really do need someone to replace what Parsons was able to do either inside or out(preferably inside). That doesn't necessarily have to come from the 1 though. Right now as the roster currently stands, I don't know where the extra play making is going to come from, but in a perfect world that balance would come from the inside or the 3/4 spots. The last thing you want is an offense that just has two guys taking turns running the P&R. Ideally, you'd like inside/outside balance & a strong playmaker from the perimeter coming off the bench. However the only point I'm making is I hope (and pretty much think is the case) that Morey isn't boxing himself in on traditional positional upgrade as much as the current fanbase seems to be doing.
If you're going to go that far back in time you also need to include CP3s time at Wake Forest and probably a year or two of high school/AAU. Don't have Goran's game log but Euro's tend to play fewer minutes per game.
It's just common sense. What did I see that isn't obvious. Dragic is not on the market? He just came off his best year, seems very happy, and the team has shown interest in his brother. Rubio? They just lost Love, why would they get rid of a really young point guard who the owner loves and whom you probably can't get much better in assets for. You guys are ridiculous in believing everything you hear on this forum, and in thinking we can trade for anyone. All we have is one potential lottery pick. That not gonn get us an all star.
Goran has always been a leader in the teams he's played in. And Euro clubs usually participate in more than 1 league simultaneosly. For example, Slovenian league, one of Eurocup or Euroleague, and also the Adriatic league. The amount of games that pile up sometimes rival the NBA's regular season schedule.
I work near the Toyota Center and saw Morey on the phone get in his "mid level exception" (certain sources might actually know what that means) and dude was having a shouting match on the phone. Look super pissed. I'm not an insider but I can confirm Morey is mad this morning lol
I think he said he is comfortable commenting on other Insider info (e.g., he said there is only one PG in this thread that he's heard about), but won't be directly repeating what his source says.
How old are you? "Fail. Epic fail. Epic. Fail." - you should really incorporate some new words to your vocabulary. If my minute count is wrong, then by all means correct it. And show you got to that point. Peace.
Ooh I have a secret but I can't tell you. I respect that...so he shouldn't have posted anything in the first place. This whole thread is so ridiculous.
Tell you what. Go make a contribution and become a contributing member. Then I'll do the math for you.
Reading this forum you would think the Rockets can trade for anybody at anytime. Thread is starting to sound like the Love thread where people were convinced Minny had to trade us Love cause Lin/Jones/Parsons was deal they couldnt turn down....
