Batman, bbholic and anyone else, Not an insider question but strictly basketball. In your opinion, which PG in the league is the best fit next to harden. Do you feel it should be an amazing shooter who can play off the ball (curry/kyrie). someone who plays great defense and takes the ball out of hardens hands (rondo/rubio). The best player/talent (cp3). Or a well rounded player that plays good defense and can play off the ball as well as take it out of hardens hands (conley). Me personally, i want to say the best talent and figure it out later, but i feel Conley would be the best fit and probably who i would choose. Just picking your brain.
With the Terry trade being completed tomorrow, wouldn't that seemingly limit our options to complete a Rondo/Bled trade?
I want to say cp3 but i just don't feel the same way about him anymore. Idk why. He has always been considered the third best player in the league to me for about 3years now but its as if i don't believe in him anymore. Don't get me wrong it should be cp3 i just being curious about what your of player do you feel is the best fit. Style of play wise...
I would normally say Chris Paul. But I'm actually leaning towards Dragic. That's how much I think of him and how good he is right now. CP3 isn't as aggressive to the rim as much now and I think his knee betrays him somewhat. He's still a top-5 player, no question, but I worry about his health. Dragic is a bigger, stronger point guard who gives the opponent fits with his banging defensive style and of course he can do it all offensively. My opinion above doesn't take into account any salary cap implications. My original question to Batman did. I think he gave me his take based on floor game only, which is fine. However, I really think if you delve into the cap situation of the Rockets and the league and the coming new CBA...I think Rubio and his contract is the best fit for this team to build out a championship team. Rubio on a qualifying offer this summer gives us a lot of opportunities to execute trades or come up with another outright signing before we nail his new contract down....if we can acquire him. Dragic also I absolutely love obviously. And his contract situation is also good with his cap hold being even lower than Rubio's. But I like Rubio's youth. I am convinced Rubio will become an effective shooter from distance and he's already a foul magnet at the rim. And Rubio's max is going to come in around $4 million lower per season than Dragic's. I do want Dragic...badly. But I just don't see PHX ultimately giving him up. I think they sign and trade Bledsoe and keep Dragic.
He defeated Bane, rode off into a Nuclear sunset with Catwoman only to return to form the Justice League with Plowman & Friends. He's still Christian Bale though.
He has a great jump shot. Otherwise he'd just be Batman _ones and we'd trade him for SpiderMan James.
I typically avoid these codes, but I felt like taking a stab at it. Seeing how Batman Jones mentioned he didn't go back and read all 500 pages, we can assume the "one name [that] is actually a target" has been mentioned relatively recently. That fact alone should narrow the pool of possibilities down from every single player in the NBA to just a few. From what i remember that leaves Dragic, Rubio, Rondo, Bledsoe, and Faried. But really, only one of those qualifies for the "Hi again, nice to be back" statement. So it would seem Dragic is the only one Houston actually sees as a target. I could definitely be way off on that though.
That was a classic straight shooting post. All of your answers are within. Meaning, he's not saying any more than he did. Unless Batman Jones clicks feedback on this post and gives me some message decoder like 'look at letters 6,98,42,114,77 in my post', I think he's saying "That's ALL you are going to get". The target has been mentioned in this thread.
And if he does, no way in hell am I sharing that info. Also, time to check my feedback every 2 minutes for the next 24 hrs.
LOL at all these fools taking what you said and turning it into some sort of secret message. I haven't checked this thread in almost a month because it got so out of hand and then I go to the end to see why it is still alive and everyone is breaking down something you posted (didn't read it). Good for you though for coming out and clearing it up. Cool that you got an insider for a friend. Best not to F that up.
