I'm not big on buying jerseys, but if we get Rondo, that will change for exactly one purchase.

Rubio is a younger, more even tempered Rondo. He's a much better fit with Harden and Howard in the locker room.

You have been lobbying for Jones to hit the door since last off season but it never happened. So will your dream come true this time around.

Morey flipping this roster every year will not net us a Championship no time soon. When are we going to learn that it's important to keep your core players together and build around them. Now we are going see a totally different starting lineup again who will struggle with chemistry.

Rondo is a much better shooter than Rubio, and much better on the ball defender.

The other factor with Rubio is his restricted status is going to reduce and hinder any quick, large contract offers.

Sounds like a plan for a great offseason.

You're right, he didn't & hasn't for proprietary reasons, which I respect. My 1st paragraph was an attempt at late night humor from hp's "feeded to the wolves" comment. I thought "Later on" and the big grin had indicated that. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

My 2nd paragraph was my real speculation from what was conveyed yesterday.

Rondo seems likely because he's currently in the Leastern Conference and Ainge and Morey are obviously very familiar with one another. And Boston might be in "if we don't get a star---and we won't, not at the moment---Rondo will bolt, anyway" mode.

Rubio seems likely because Morey had a cat-can't-even-scratch-it h***-on for Rubio. Les will like Rubio for marketing purposes, having just lost 25% of his ticket sales (see also Lin, Jeremy). Rubio's also, currently, easier to trade for money-wise, especially if (BIG if) Morey's more willing to overpay to keep him than is Flip Saunders.

If Flip has any indication of trading Rubio, he might wait until he sells a few more tickets. The Twolves had a big surge in sales after acquiring Wiggins; they might not want to upset the apple cart just yet. But obviously they don't have much time to fart around here.

Tick, tock. Tick, tock....'tis now the very witching time of night. What's it gowanns to be, Morey, if anything?

Rondo excels at the rim & Rubio excels at the ft line. Outside of that, they're both such horrid shooters, it's a wash. As far as defense goes, I'd use "slightly" rather that "much".

This year's Derrick Williams and Jason Smith are Ricky Wubio and Ersan Ilyasova I guess. S#$% never changes with this guy.

The worst part about BBHollic/Jopatmc is he tries so hard to be in the "cool club" with Bima/Cyberx/Clutch by trying to pose as an insider than he ends up making himself a reincarnation of 2012 DD (no offense to the new/mentally stable 2014 DD) when all along if he wasn't a complete jack A#$ know it all he'd actually contribute some pretty damn good material to the thread with his knowledge of the CBA.

Don't get me wrong. I do think we are lucky to have some legit insider information from time to time, But the Shtick that Jopatc and others play is pretty easy to see through. Remember back early this Summer when Chris Sheridan said his sources told him Lebron was 100% going back to Cleveland, and then a week after when Lebron came out with the SI article Sheridan was telling the world how great he is that he was "The One" that knew when everyone else didn't???

Its the same scheme guys like Jopat are trying to do here. You make a gamble guess pretty much for the reason of being able to tell the world how much better/smarter/in the know you are than everyone else if for some reason the trade/signing actually happens.

There is a chance that Morey trades for Ricky Rubio, and trades away Terrence Jones. But if it happens it wont be because BasketballHollic said so. That's for damn sure. I hope one day this guy changes, and gains some humility because he offers some great content, but I'm not holding out hope.

I'm not sure that's really fair to Sheridan, the whole issue he had was that his sources were in ****holes that no one cared about, like Cleveland, which has become relevant again because of Lebron

The point was he couldn't wait to tell the world how he was so right afterwards which was pretty much the smoking gun for him gambling to gain rep when really the gamble was basically like betting on Black when the roulette table has been Red the past 5 hands. Maybe he was the only insider who knew, but if you need to tell people how much of an insider you are, are you really that much of an insider?

Not to be a huge Game of Thrones nerd here, but it reminds me to a quote from Tywin last season about how Joffrey kept on having to remind everyone he was the king, and Tywin had to send him to bed without any supper.

Morey is looking out at the Deron Williams situation I was recently told.

If he feels that Williams looks good - he may take a shot at him.

We are talking about the guy who left Lebron off his 1st team all NBA ballot.

ESPN deserves shots fired, but ESPN shots and Sheridan's & others attention getting tactics are two separate things. I could have easily used Bill Ingram, Alex Kennedy, Bucher, etc. as an example. Its nothing new to see.

I feel if Rubio was an option, his role would be to .. as LeBron put it "Pass that rock "- making Rubio a facilitator, rather than a guy who puts up a lot of shots.

    Thanks for the insight Cyber!

    Deron come back home!!

    Oh no.

    Morey.

Deron better come for not much. No quality assets should leave for Deron.

Lol yeah I noticed that as well. Ole Holic would tell Plowman to email him and he loves Mr. Cyberx. I guess he will get it right one day because he's be saying they will trade Jones dating back to the summer of 2013. You and I both know he is not very fond of Terrence Jones. He keeps on talking about a championship caliber team but how can that be achieved if Morey keeps flipping the Roster. Dobro I'm trying to remember if another team has flipped their roster every year ( core players include) and won a Championship.

My thing is if we are trying to win championships wouldn't it be best to build around your core players. I thought Harden, Howard, Parsons, Jones, Beverley and maybe DMO were our core players.
