Did you watch the game? I am being serious. Reed had an impressive interception. Interceptions are way better than sacks. JJ was getting QB hurries and touches. Those hurries lead to interceptions.
don't look now but fitz is one of the leaders in the qbr department. with a stout defense and ST, you can do a lot of damage with a qb that has anywhere from 85 and above. Plus, the only defenses we play this season that make you fear throwing the ball are the bengals, bills and helterskeravens. I guess you can include the broncos now with all their free agents but we should worry about those guys in the playoffs. =)
You can't be serious. The Cowboys could be coming off a 3-13 season and they would still get national television coverage.
Maybe, but there's no reason for it. It would be like the league flexing a Rockets game to national TV because they were playing the Lakers last year. The Cowboys might still get some hype, but they haven't been any good in almost 20 years.
My new favorite player is a swearinger ....lol, love his intensity.. Something that you either have or you don't.
They are the Cowboys. They get ratings. Plus they are 1-1 right now. Who knows what their record will be by the time they face the Texans.
Thank God for the last place schedule and the NFC Least. We'll take it. There's a good chance that's a good 6 or 7 wins right there.
Two quick points from my prior post...That Texans Cowboys game will be the nationally televised game at the 1 PM slot. Secondly, the Texans will be playing the Colts on Thursday night, so its really unlikely that that Cowboys game will be moved to 4pm(like to retract that game time will be moved). And looking at the NFL game matrix...week 5 Cowboys Texans matchup is probably one of the better games on tap.
Ah, I must have misread that when I looked at the schedule. Either way, I don't see how the Texans vs the Cowboys would be a good game, and even then it's not better than Arizona at Denver or Kansas City at San Francisco so I think it's highly unlikely that they'd move the time into that slot. Also, at the 1 PM slot you have Indy and Baltimore and Chicago and Carolina. The Cowboys are a nobody team and the Texans won't have beat anyone of consequence till after they play Indy at the earliest.
2 forced fumbles, fumble recovery, and a sack in 2 games for DJ. Texans look very similar to 2013 chiefs. Force turnovers, run the ball, and safe passes.
That's a solid comparison. Fitz is basically our Alex Smith and we'll go just as far as our defense and run game will carry us just like the Chiefs.
I would take them just doing as well, it would make for a fun season. I don't have any delusions of them being a contender this year, but a playoff run would be sweet. 11 wins would easily own the division and if we can avoid the injuries that stopped the Chiefs in their tracks I could see them maybe even winning a playoff game. I think everyone would be satisfied with that after last season's disaster.
I'm not too hot on the Chiefs comparison as they're 2-8 in their last 10 games. Hopefully we can be dominant this year itself.
Woohoo Texans are a member of the exclusive 2-0 club. Next week is a must win game as well because it's a winnable game against a turd team just like today was. Then there's Buffalo they are 2-0 but it remains to be seen if they are legit, at home we can take them.
LOL: In their home opener Sunday vs. Houston, the Raiders committed four turnovers and didn’t score their first points until the fourth quarter in a 30-14 loss. And afterwards, veteran safety Charles Woodson gave an unflattering assessment of Oakland’s performance. “We suck,” Woodson said, according to Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area and other Raiders reporters. Woodson said he knew the performance was a downer for Raiders fans, who haven’t seen their club make the postseason since 2002 and witnessed Oakland fall to 0-2 in a game in which it trailed by at least 14 points for three-quarters of the contest. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/09/14/charles-woodson-on-raiders-after-defeat-to-houston-we-suck/
remember last year when we got like 6 primetime games and crapped the bed in all of them? that's why we are an afterthought now
