Y'all are a bunch of whiney b****es. We looked like hot garbage all season last year and just put out two games that were better than anything we saw last year.
Lol critically analyze away, all I know is the entire fall/winter of 2013 was a giant suckfest for me and pretty much everyone else at Reliant (NRG) on Sundays. Grind it out football is supremely more entertaining than Kube's gimmicky play action/zone playbook and the Texans dominated the TOP, Turnover Diff, total plays and were able to generally move the ball in the 2nd half even when everyone in the collision knew they were going to run. They brought 16 less blitz plays than last week and the pressure showed, if that is the biggest complaint then the Texans are doing something correct. Furthermore, the Raiders kept a back and TE in on nearly every protection, that is respect for the opposing teams rush and gives them less options in the passing game. Good game, good win, good Sunday.
I don't watch a lick of NFL but I will tell you this on the 20 mins that I saw today. We will be really good and will over achieve this year. You can quote me on this.
The Raiders have one of the best O Line I have seen so far, Carr hand an outstanding protection throughout the game.
Meh, His protection was alright. His problem last week was holding onto the ball too long. I'm sure their game plan was to make sure he got rid of the ball quickly or 99 would eat him up. Kudos to him, because he executed that particular portion of their game plan to perfection. A 0.5 second more and the HOU defense comes away with maybe 3 sacks.
I'm really impressed with what I've seen so far from the Texans. Much better so far than I anticipated. Go Texans!
That wasn't the case at all. Against the jets he got the ball out quick, it's the fact that he has trouble getting the ball down field.
it's just you. Most by now, at least I hope, are hoping fitz is our chris chandler or rich gannon. losers on other organizations that late bloomed into awesomeness for three seasons or more.
People clamouring for more Texans highlights on NFL.com need to relax... Think of the upsets and the epic melt downs today: Seattle lost, New Orleans lost, Denver choked a big lead against an injured sqaud, Green Bay came back to win. Those markets alone command tons of national attention based off personnel...etc. The Texans will get its due when they win against last years playoff teams. The Texans ran off and hid today, and the game was boring compared to some of the other finishes. Dont worry...being under the radar and winning is much more exciting than being a laughing stock of the NFL for pick 6 galore and continuous losing streaks. This team is totally different with its identity, and it all starts with its coaching. If the Texans win next week, the will get a bit of attention for going 3-0...If they are 4-0 after the Bills game, they are going to get a lot of press right for the Dallas showdown(and the game time might be moved to 4 PM and national TV coverage.)
This. Remember when we used to get major coverage and the epic "Letter Jacket Bowl" game. Sometimes slot of press backfires and you become hated or the joke of the league --see The Houston Rockets
Why? The Cowboys are terrible, that would be like moving a game against the Jags and making it a nationally televised game. The Texans will get their recognition if they beat the Colts on SNF, so far all they've done is beat teams they ought to beat. Honestly, they ought to win 7 of their first 8, but probably won't
