Great win. Glad they took out Foster to save his carries a bit. I loved they used JJ watt on a back receiver route...secondary made me smile
Good game yall, especially by the offense. I was hoping to see the flashy defense of last week, but the turnovers were more than enough. Much more balanced game than last week, and a lot of things to feel good about.
i don't like the 'well it's only the raiders' attitude. last year the raiders, the freaking jags and titans were all having their way with us.
Or were those opportune Texan plays? Must at admit, it's hard to say just yet. At least the Texans were not the ones turning it over.
Pretty much what to expect from this team all year. Defense, Running and no mistakes, teams have won a lot of games using that formula. Fitzpatrick won't be explosive, but neither were Russell Wilson, Roethlisberger, or Flacco. But those guys did make plays to win games when asked, if Fitzpatrick can do that this team can do a lot of winning. If not this team will be around .500 and still looking for a QB long term. Great start to the season. When a team goes 2-14 you can't call anybody a team we should beat.
Texans are playing decent right now but you can not really tell where we will be at the end of the season untill we play 2 decent teams. Washington and Oaklend are both trash any so so teams can beat them
Last year's 2-0 is remarkably different than this years'... That in it self is a huge sign that this team is under better leadership. Defense hasnt been perfect, but their ability to cause fumbles in the open field have helped minimize some of those glaring mistakes. This was a nice win, and the formula for success is clear. Get a big lead early, and then run the ball down their throats/chewing up clock time.

I can already see how different a football team this is with new head coaching leadership. We don't try to "scheme" our way to wins. We are winning playing smash mouth football, minimizing mistakes, and capitalizing on our opponents mistakes. This is how you win in the NFL. This is not to say we don't have glaring deficiencies. The QB thing has been talked to death but so far he's doing exactly what he needs to. So far I think our biggest problem is Offensive line and their inability to pass block without holding. I am surprised at Cushing somewhat disappearing...but Reed has picked up that slack. At this point, we just need to stay healthy and shore up the offensive line, continue to avoid mistakes while taking advantage of our opponents and we should be a playoff team.
Agree completely. Last year's squad would have found a way to lose. Glad we can try out a few things and get clicking before we play tougher opponents.
