There has never been peace in this region and there never will be. Obama plans to arm our future enemies and drop some bombs. Woot. Now there is a plan that has never backfired.
I wonder what the people in Syria think about the uprising against Assad now. Do they still think it was a good thing or do they regret it now because it got them into a worse situation than before.
A majority of the Syrian's never wanted a revolution. The polls show that prior to the civil war, over 70% of Syria wanted Assad to open up free elections and did NOT favor blood shed. There wouldn't have been a real civil war had Assad not copied his father and killed many citizens after the protests started. Assad did this to himself.
SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICIAL: I guess I would just add one thing on the coalition question -- and I think this is important to really focus on, which is to say, in discussions with governments in the region, notably the Saudis and the Jordanians, what is clear is that we have a very common view of this threat. And this is really quite unusual. ISIL has been I think a galvanizing threat around the Sunni partners in the region. They view it as an existential threat to them. Saudi Arabia has an extensive border with Syria. The Jordanians are experiencing a destabilizing impact of over a million refugees from the Syrian conflict, and are profoundly concerned that ISIL, who has stated that their ambitions are not confined to Iraq and Syria, but rather to expand to the broader region. He's clearly referring to Jordan, due to the next sentence and either misspoke or the transcriber improperly recorded it. Honestly, the inability to infer that is probably demonstrative of a higher level of abject stupidity than the purported geographical oopsitude. And it's a basso post, so this all makes a lot of sense.

Is it possible that they were all murdered at the same time, but the videos are just being released bit by bit?
What *exactly* is her crime? Joining the organization makes you automatically arrestable for all the orgs' crimes? Rocket River
Committing to a terrorist organization is not a crime now? If it's not a crime I have no problem with it being one.
