Eurocup qualifiers are fun to watch if you are into them

He is pretty slow, but he has a great feel for the game which leads to him being in the right place at the right time most of the time. But do not expect him to outrun anybody. He is very allround. He can play left back, but I think he is better as DM.

A little over a year ago he wasn't even one of the most important players for Ajax. His development has skyrocketed. He took everybody by surprise. His father is one of the legendary old Ajax players (who will become the next coach of the dutch national team), Daley is a bit similar to him.

I really have no idea if he will succeed, if his development of last year continues he might just succeed. But it is always difficult to make the transistion from the eredivisie to the bigger european leagues. He was not as dominant as Huntelaar and Suarez or affelay were at the end of their time in the ere divisie.

Haha. It was terrible. When Robben is not playing our offense is terrible. One of the worst games I have seen in a while. Also I have no Idea why RvP is always offside. Why can't RvP not play well for our national team.

Luckely the first 2 teams qualify (and the best number 3) and since Turkey lost to Iceland we are still on our way to qualify. It was bad, But I trust Hiddink and our team to make the right changes and qualify. So yes I remain positive.

Yeah I think we will qualify but it's such a shame we lost a point and have the Czechs 3. Makes a big difference. I would have been happy with a point away from home - now we'll see what happens.

RVP just doesn't get the service he should get, that's a problem. I don't really like his attitude though, skipping interviews etc. He's the captain, act like it.

I guess it confirms what we all knew - the WC was all about Robben. Not only does he create out of nothing, but it keeps the opposition defence on its toes the entire game.

Agreed. I actually fell asleep during the game (in like the 80 minute) and I woke up to hear them say 2-1, but I thought they said we won, I was shocked to hear we actually lost.. Bad play by Janmaat, But it was a bad game overall, when we scored 1-1 we should have pushed on. But that really did not happen.

I really do not understand why RvP is having so much problems with the Dutch national team. I understand Robben is not a player who plays to support the striker. But we have enought players who do. And we have played many different systems and in none of them RvP played well.

I also do not like his attitude. As a fellow Feyenoord supporter you must remember how bad his attitude was with Feyenoord, sometimes that arrogant spoiled child gets the overhand with him (also remember that CL game were he got a second yellow card for continuing to play after the reff called offside).

Robben is really the heart soul and talent of this team. When he plays the entire team plays better. We overachieved during the WC, we are not a top 3 country in the world (but during such a tournament anything can happen, so we could have won). I do believe we are god enough to qualify, and who knows how the players develop in 2 years. I expect to have a great team in 2016.

Yeap, he has done that a few times. He did it at the WC in 2010 and blamed the vuvuzelas for not hearing the whistle. He's a bit petulant, immature. Also remember his arguments with Sneijder in 2008 for the free kick. We didn't really get much out of him at Feyenoord, he left before he grew up (if he ever did).

I'm really hoping Depay can become as good as Robben, or at least a similar type of player. He had a decent game, he has so much potential. I'm a little worried about Robben's retirement, lol. When was the last time we had a top 3 player in the world? van Basten probably.

Indeed, I have never been a big fan of Van Persie (which is partly caused by how he left Feyenoord).

I do not have the faith in Depay as you do. I fear he will be similar to any of the young wings in the past we have had that showed flashes of brilliance. But who knows, he is playing well for PSV.

I am a huge Bergkamp fan, so for me he is the closest thing we have had since the Van Bastern, Gullit time of a top 3 player.

Hope Balotelli gets his first goal tomorrow.
Should have plenty of chances with Sturridge out.

Would like to see him attempt a 360 heel goal in a one-on-one situation against the goalie.

One of the few players in the world that can pull it off....

Debuchy twisted his foot/leg in a really ugly way when landing, lay down on the field for minutes and the medics brought an oxygen mask. I'd guess out for at least half of the season.

Good match, Arsenal looked more keen on the attack, definitely quick on the ball. City nearly stole the points back in stoppage.

Messi was brilliant today setting both of Neymar's goals. Still 2 goals away from 400.

Barca will be scary when Suarez joins the team.

Neymar was the difference maker today.. Munir is showing lots of potential but he's still very green for games like this, Lucho needs to put him in for cup games and against bottom of the table teams. Rakitic also looks solid but he needs to stop dividing the ball so much, he isn't at Sevilla anymore. Montoya sucked on offense, as bad as Dani was last year he's still light years ahead of this clown.
