Not only is he better, but he is MILES better than Mchale. Mark Jackson is actually a good coach. You should remove yourself from the conversation after making that comment
Guys guys guys, they're both awful. I'd say Jackson had better defensive assistants...who got hired away or were driven out by him.
Mark Jackson did worse than his predecessor, Keith Smart, even after adding David Lee. I'm actually interested to hear how he's better than McHale.
Yes, "just" the year after he was hired. Why would you continue to compare the two longer than that? The rosters are of course going to start looking drastically different.
Your recollection is off. The Warriors got Lee in 2010-11, Jackson's first season was 2011-12 (when Curry missed significant time due to injury). Jackson does suck though. Do not want.
What worries me right now is that we've lost Sampson and I believe another assistant coach. Mchale has blamed the Rockets' inability to make defensive plays do to the loss of Sampson. So my big question is what is management doing to fix this problem. Doesn't this bother anyone else. It is just way too quiet right now with the Rockets especially with training camp around the corner. Aren't we in a win now situation. This off season is starting to bug me.
Just say ya'll don't like Jackson personally. Basketball wise, he overachieved with GS each year. The Rockets have 2 first round exits against teams they should've beat
How about Steve Nash? Just wait for him having another injury and out for the season. Work out a deal with Lakers and get him as our coach. Sure he has no D, but we will that much better for run and gun.
