Right, his overall numbers were bad because he had some terrible games initially, no disputing that. But just as you can't discount LMA's bad latter games along with his initial dominance, you can't discount Harden's game 6 dominance.

Yet only one of them will have the reputation of a "bad playoff performer"

Also, it's curious that you choose to ignore his performance with OKC (whice includes the series he carried them past the Spurs)

I love when people can't find ground to stand on in an argument they do this holier than thou BS!! Ummm of course that's wrong but I only deal with people who really know basketball, I can't I mean I won't take time to negate his argument because I am above him....hahaha. Harden on okc was not the main guy...he didn't have the pressure or focus on him....that freed him up and if you want to bring that up....look at harden against Miami....37 percent shooting and 31 from the three which are pretty consistent with what we have seen here......those are not good playoff numbers

 

So then I guess when he actually puts up all-world numbers in the playoffs, it doesn't count for one reason or another.

Do I dispute the fact that he needs to be more consistent in the playoffs and receptive to the team needs? Of course not. I just find it incredibly irritating when folks will use inaccurate blanket statements.

 

harden has the ability to play defense and that was evident when he guarded kobe in the playoffs.

And you are right he has the ABILITY, he just rarely rarely ever uses it...which is my whole point!!! So pointing out something about a long, long time ago In a galaxy far far away that harden played defense is not helping your case!!!
