Agree 1000%. I've experienced domestic violence inflicted to a family member up close and it certainly looks that way to me as well. If this was actually the "first time" he hit her, his reaction would have been totally different - one of shock or horror AND once he saw that she was really hurt, he would have come to her aid after realizing that things had gone horribly wrong. Instead, Rice stands over her, then steps over her body and drags her out the elevator like she's some kind of rag doll, dumps her on the floor when the security guard shows up, picks up his cell and makes a call. His actions showed a total disdain toward her condition. No, this wasn't the first time for either of them.
I would like to think this is the case but I'm thinking Goodell might be able to weather this. As long as the money is flowing and Goodell can gin up enough reasonable doubt such as "the law enforcement official isn't named" or "the person at the NFL in the tape isn't named" he can claim that neither he nor anyone at NFL leadership saw the tape. Remember in his CBS interview he as very careful to say "to his knowledge" that no one at the NFL had seen the tape so he does have some deniability. Bottom line is the bottom line and the stadiums are going to be packed tonight, this weekend and Monday night. TV ratings are going to high and the NFL will still be raking money in. Has long as Goodell can continue to show record profits the owners are going to pause before kicking him out. I also expect that we will see Ray Rice playing in five years. The guy is too good of a player that some team will want to take a chance on him after a sufficient time has passed. In the meantime he will take the Ray Lewis route and say he's found God and he and his wife will do a round of talk shows shedding a lot of tears and talking about how this incident has only made their love stronger. Since they were teammates I wouldn't be surprised to see Ray Lewis with Ray Rice vouching how much of a changed man he is.
Can someone post the tweets of Harrison, Fujita and Vilma? Can't access Twitter at work and I hear they were great. When Goodell isn't fired, we really have no one to blame but ourselves. How many of us will not watch games this weekend because of this? As long as the NFL continues to rake in money, the owners won't get rid of him.

LOL I guarantee that 100% of the people that planned on watching football this weekend, will watch football this weekend.
I'm definitely looking it the mirror on that one. I will be in front of the TV from 10am-10pm. rezdawg, repped. BTW, once Rockets season is here, let's meet up and catch a game at Brewingz by your office.

Harrison is def having a little fun with the commish....payback is a B. (Although I think he deleted this tweet b/c it is not on his timeline anymore)
I've never hit a woman so I have no idea how a man's reaction would be after hitting a woman for the 1st time... Thanks for explaining. Lol... Now let's fire Goodell so all of us hypocrites can feel comfortable about watching Terrell Suggs tonight and the Mayweather fight this weekend
That is the point. They don't think it matters... they know that it is the NFL, it will keep making money and growing. NFL owners are not quite like MLB or NBA owners in that there is a distinct culture and many long term owners. Would the NFL drop him if profits dropped 20%? Absolutely, but that isn't going to happen. They are not a group that bends to public will easily.
That is messed up. He even had the "gloves" on his hands to avoid irritation. There needs to be more accountability. I find it hard to believe that in each case this is the first time the office has assaulted someone. A majority of which are either black, poor or young.
"In December 2009, Williams alleged Suggs held her down on the floor, poured bleach on her and their son and kicked her in the face, breaking her nose, according to The Sun." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...uggs-girlfriend-claims-he-punched-her-in-neck Where were the people who are saying Goodell should be fired when this happened...??? But I guess it's all good since there's no video.
I suppose one key difference is this was merely an allegation....video evidence is a whole other animal.
Dude. You have to start some where. I am skeptical, but hopefully all the attention will make the punishments in the NFL harder. The fact that Suggs is a scumbag doesn't make what Rice did any better or worse. I think everyone sees the hypocrisy. People that would never knock out their wife or pour bleach on her will watch the NFL and jam the stadium on Sunday.
Video is important because it removes doubt, particularly when there is a lack of visible injuries to someone.
