Brown is on tape, it is pretty obvious that he was doing something he wasn't supposed to in that convenient store. Having said that, it doesn't really matter if he had prior felonies or convictions or none at all. The officer did not know his record.... this is all about what happened in about a 2 minute period of time and the fact that everything is inconclusive is why this case has caused so many strong reactions. People see what they want to see, and interpret the "evidence" the way they want....
. . . and who all 'knew' . . since you co-conspirator said 'known felon' Considering the store owner now denies any calls to the police Rocket River
New video of two witnesses is pretty damning. Two contractors, not from the town and not black so no Limbaugh biases, moments after the shooting are caught in taping saying his hands were up. In an interview with cnn one of the of the contractors says brown was surrendering but the cop kept shooting.
That does sound damning. I wonder if it will change any of the minds of people who'd already made their's up.
Watch it. It is pretty damning. Two white men are standing next to a truck, there are officers putting up yellow tape and one of the white men has his arms in the air, upset saying "he finally put his hands up". The video isn't seconds after the shooting (as two other officers arrived and had time to put the tape up), but the two construction workers said that they saw Brown running from the officer, get shot, turn around, put his hands up... say "okay, okay, okay" and then get shot again, and stagger 25-30 feet towards the officer and was shot more". It is by far the most damning evidence so far.

It's looking more like Officer Wilson lost his composure in the final moments of the shooting. After being assaulted, he shot Brown once. After some distance, another shot hit Brown. And then it sounds like Brown surrenders when Wilson unloads on him. Not sure how much delay there was between Brown surrendering and when Wilson unloads. It could have happened quickly. I'm not positive on police procedure and investigations whether they could rule that a justified shooting even though Brown did assault Wilson. The first couple shots are definitely justified because Brown assaulted Wilson, but the final few as Brown surrendered are in a gray area. Won't be justified by the public but could fall under justified by police protocol.
