I'm not upset. I'm just pointing out that you clowns don't even blame AT&T for not paying a fee to carry the games. It was AT&T's choice to not carry the games. And in other markets they DO pay a fee. In New York or Boston, they pay a fee. But they don't want Houston teams to have the same money to compete for free agents with NY, Boston or LA so they chose not to pay and have Houston teams be at a competitive disadvantage to other large market teams.

Just for the record, Comcast literally has the lowest customer satisfaction rating of any major company in the USA .

    Literally. The. Worst.

Now, I'm sure that there were one or two people out there who thought that New Coke was the greatest product decision ever, but my working hypothesis is that the steady stream of people defending Comcast is made up of either shills, or trolls. If not that, then every single person in the city of Houston that hasn't had a horrible experience with Comcast (yet) has come online to defend the company all at once.

Just to drive the point home, it is quantifiable that Comcast isn't "just as bad" as everybody else. They are literally the worst rated company for customer satisfaction in the entire USA. And it's not an anomaly. They are repeat champs of bad customer service.

You can get Comcast? Great. I can only get AT&T at my current apartment complex. Just like my last apartment complex. It isn't uncommon. I like my apartments a lot and don't want to move just over cable / satellite TV.

    By the way, grow up.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!! New Coke? Made Royal Crown Cola taste like nectar of the gods. BLECH.

im not troll and honestly dont understand the hate for comcast...everytime i have a problem (not many) they fix it and hook you up with upgrades if you arent satisfied with the price/service.

Another factor is not many people are gonna go online if they are happy with their service...BUT people who have a bad experience will RUN to make a negative review. Its just the way it is...

Wait... Are you suggesting that AT&T, DirecTV and others have some type of plan in place to lower the profits of Houston teams (Astros? ) to prevent them from getting free agents?

People will run to make a negative review... But more people ran to make a negative review of Comcast than any other companies. They aren't just "one of the guys" when it comes to negative reviews.

There are the World Champion heavyweight, when it comes to negative reviews. They stand out of the pack. That's not subjective. It is 100% quantifiable.

You must be like one in a million that has not had trouble....At my last place, my internet was down for 2 months straight. They kept canceling appointments and saying it was my fault when I had already used sick days to be there. Then they said they did not know how to fix it.

I have never reviewed them technically but first of all they charge $50 no matter what reason they come out now......In my new place, they charged me for installation when I was told it would be waived with the promotion that I had but when I called after seen $200 on my bill, they said that I could not prove that they ever said that. Then my cable never worked right, they sent someone out to look at it and they said it was fine and charged me $50 on my next bill. I complained and they tried to offer me stuff in place but I went through hell to get the $50 removed. Worst part, my apartment got burglarized by someone who matched the description exactly of the Comcast guy who was there the week before. He was the only person in my apartment besides 2 best friends and my gf. The officer was too busy to follow-up and Comcast could not prove it, so he is still out there working. So if you ever get a guy named Samuel, don't let him in.....

Now if you ever get in that situation, you will almost go insane trying to get the technicians manager on the phone. They literally have no way to get you in contact with them. I called every day and still never got a manager to this day. They had some claims lady investigate but she stopped answering her phone. That was just in my first 3 weeks of service!! It is such an unorganized massive POS company. Even the workers that I talked to say it is hard to get anything done with how it is organized now. The ONLY reason I got it was because of Rockets games.

Not at all. I am suggesting that they are greedy companies and chose to make a stand in Houston after already agreeing to pay fees in NY, Chicago, Boston.....

It isn't Comcast's fault that AT&T and the others decided to not pay fees in Houston. And when they did it just so happened the Astros sucked, just moved to the American League and not enough fans cared about them not airing games so that AT&T had no real reason to forgo some profits and pay the fee.

This has nothing to do with comcast or their customer service and everything to do with AT&T deciding not to pay a fee to cover games like they had previously agreed to do in other major markets. Not enough fans switching made it a fine business decision which bankrupted the network and lost money for the Astros and Rockets. Now Crane and Alexander not making money gives them an excuse to not raise payroll. Fortunately, Alexander is willing to win, and pay for Hardin and Howard, and probably would have paid luxury tax for Bosh. Whereas Crane prefers to have a low payroll, not sign first round picks, put a crappy product on the field and make as much money as he can, partially justifying is low payroll on the basis of AT&T not paying a fee they pay in other markets which would make his investment in the team generate more revenue which he could then use some invest in better players.

That's nice. When I moved, I called to have AT&T installed at my house. They showed up only to say, "engineering has your installation routed to a service address 2 mile away, so we can't do anything today, also, do you mind if I take a dump in your guest bathroom? We can reschdule an installation in 14 days."

So I move into my house, and AT&T wants me to have no phone, no internet, no TV for two weeks, and the service tech stinks up my bathroom just for good measure. I call comcast and they came out in two days. Best decision I ever made. Comcast has better HD and faster internet. And more importantly they carry Astros and Rockets games, cause if they didn't I would have switched when that happened.

True story. He didn't actually say can I take a dump. But he asked if he could use the bathroom. And then he proceeded to take a dump.

And I did have them scheduled to come out the day after my move in, and they said "engineering" had the order messed up and my routing and hook up was to some network hub two miles away so they could do the install that day and they said I would have to reschedule. I called to reschedule and they said the next appointment was 10 to 14 days from then. I certainly did not want to be without internet, phone and tv for two weeks. So I called comcast, got an appointment in two days and never looked back.

That is nothing compared to being robbed. Twice if you count the fees lol. My old apartment took 3 weeks for Comcast to get installed but it was the only option. They have more workers now which is good. My experience was probably limited but i will never get over getting robbed, knowing who did it but nothing I can do. He complained the entire time about not getting bonuses and how the managers think it is clever to not disclose fees and quote lower rates than billed. You would think they would want to look into that a little better. It couldn't have been more obvious who it was. I will have to hide everything I have if they come again. I think we can all agree that it would be absolutely horrible if they merge with TWC, if nothing else. Prices would be even more ridiculous.

It is Comcast's fault. They asked for more than they were valued. ATT, Dish, Dish Network, and Suddenlink all balked. The guy who spearheaded everything, George Postolos, was fired. Crane is suing the previous owner for fraud as it relates to what they were told they could get in carriage fees. The Rockets and Astros both want Comcast out of the picture. You're in fantasy land. Blaming the fans for not breaking contracts with their providers, incurring ETF fees in the hundreds of dollars, to deal with what is pretty universally known as a horrible company is a joke. CSN overplayed its hand and that's why it's bankrupt.

it is against their policy to use customer's bathroom, i'm not sure how a tech can ask you that question. anyways i've dealt with all the companies around in Htown and found ATT has a better service when compared to Comcast (big time). like i said, not saying ATT is great, but better then what's around based on a 15 yrs experience.

It may be against policy. I don't know. I know what happened. You think every employee always follows company policy? They probably have a no drugs policy too. You think every employee is drug free? Did Ray Rice follow the NFL domestic violence policy? I guess he did, if that is their policy.

Comcast's customer service has nothing to do with AT&T deciding not to pay to carry games. Absolutely nothing.

Crane is suing. That's nice. He's a greedy businessperson just like AT&T.

Sure the Rockets and Astros want to make more money and they are losing money and fans by games not being on tv.

CSN based its business model on what has happened in other markets like NY, Boston, LA,... At&T and the other carriers decided to play hard ball. It was a business decsion and partly based on the fact that the Astros sucked at the time and not many Rockets fans cared to move their service they had better cards. I'm guessing some of it is because Houston is a growing city. Many people did not grow up here, so many fans are not loyal to Rockets or Astros. Houston and Texas is more football than baseball or basketball.

It was probably bad timing given the Astros were so bad at the time. They've been the worst team in baseball for maybe three years in a row. Not a good time to negotiate a TV deal.

If I'm cramping, I'm dumping in the closest possible spot. My workman's dump isn't any different than your home owner's dump.
    Have some compassion man.

I really wish we could fix the ignore user function so I wouldn't have to read the babbling idiot houactuar in everyone's quotes even though I put her on ignore in July.
