Not an apathetic fan and I did repeatedly request online and over the phone for Uverse, Comcast employee. Calm down.

Have had both. Very glad I switched to Comcast last year for Roxs.

Clearly better signal ratios and down/up speeds. I work for a telecom here but not either.

customer service ? they all are dysfunctional period.

Well done. Your only leverage is to leave. If they bend over for you, well done. AT&T, Dish and Direct TV refused to pay carriage fees. They pay in other cities. They and they alone are to blame for not carrying our home town teams.

I don't much care about Astros anymore. They are a joke of a franchise. Used to be a season ticket holder. No more. Drayton McLane is scum. Cheap b*stard. He promised if we paid for his sweet stadium he would bring a championship. If he had added a few bats while he had Clemens and Pettitte (at home town discounts) and Oswalt, we would have one. Then he sells out to Bud Selig and 50 years of national league history down the toilet.

They had bats the year Pettitte got hurt. Kent, Beltran, Bagwell,... Bags got hurt and the other two left, and Drayton and Purpura did nothing to replace the bats. Pitching still got us to world series and then silent bats, went too cheap when it mattered.

But enough on the Lastros and another cheap owner in Crane. Les spends on Rockets. And real fans watched them on Comcast while pretend fans whined and did nothing. I'm not loyal to Comcast, if they did not have games I would switch. Some "fans" are more loyal to AT&T then the rockets. Probably schill employees, certainly not true Rockets fans.

Weird. Comcast has had the worst picture for me out of the 4 providers I've had, so it could possibly be that either the boxes I had (which btw was garbage, even the X1 gave me issues eventually with certain things) were bad? or something was off with the picture coming in to my home. U-Verse, just from my experience had better quality, but what you presented seems to be true, so I don't know, maybe my eyes are really deceiving me.

I have Dish now, but DirecTV has had the best HD by far in my experience out of all the providers I've had.

I have nothing against Comcast really. I've had their internet since they took over for TWC in Houston, and I don't plan on switching to anything else until either AT&T Gigapower or another fiber company with faster speeds is made available to me. The only real issue I've ever had with Comcast was with their TV service, mainly with their boxes even when I was streaming Rockets games for people on here. Gave me to many issues and I felt I was probably better off going back to Dish or DirecTV (because of picture quality and the receivers being better) since this CSN thing was going to get resolved eventually. The X1 platform is nice, but they really have to sort out the bugs.

Ballstreams. My contract is up right now actually, and I'm going to talk to both. I don't pledge allegiance to either. Point is, your whining was misguided.

You do realize that it's not always that easy, right? Comcast is not an option at my apartment complex. But I guess a "real fan" would move.

This is easily the most unexpected thing I could have imagined coming from this situation. And probably the best. I have several hopes once it all is sorted out:

    1) I hope they do not change the format of CSN Houston or at least the Rockets broadcasts. CSN Houston was actually a rather enjoyable sports channel, and I really liked the local broadcast talent and discussions. Rockets broadcasts, even when they lost, have been some of the most entertaining and informative television out there. Keep it the way it is, new owners, please.

    2) To AT&T and DirecTV: As a Comcast subscriber, please be more fair to us than Jim Crane was to you. I was as against this stupidity of the past few years as you guys and your subscribers were. I'm not changing from Comcast, but I'll be glad to pay for your sports network, which I imagine will be more reasonably-priced than what Crane wanted.

    3) Feel free to just plop the Astros on to a premium channel, so those of us who want to watch the Rockets can only pay for that. Or, if you want, tell Crane that you'll consider carrying his team on TV when they break .500 for a couple seasons and are worth investing in. I found it despicable that he was trying to circumvent what the TV market demanded from HIS team while dragging a legitimately good team's viewership through the mud. Make his organization prove that it's worth carrying on TV at more than a bargain basement price. Even though I know it sucked for non-Comcast subscribers over the past few years, I'm rather impressed that non of the other providers gave in, and we see the result right here. That's how a market should work.

    Signed,
Former die-hard Astros fan who'd rather stare at a wall than watch them at this point.

Go (play defense and run plays) Rockets!

I have somewhat skimmed through the recent posts, but does anyone know when it will be available on Direct Tv?

They have at least one more hearing on October 2, so it will be sometime after that. I know the Rockets wanted to have their preseason games available for broadcast, so hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.

LOL. You have roots in the complex? How hard is it to move a sofa and a bed? You want me to loan you my pickup truck? You're buying pizza, right?

I get tired of you AT&T only fans whining about not seeing the games. You don't like the AT&T package then don't buy AT&T. AT&T didn't want to pay for games, that was their choice, you didn't want to switch to comcast, that was your choice. You made your bed, shut up, stop whining and lie in it.

I watch every game. Comcast is great.

Yeah, because its not like you have to honor your rental agreement that you signed when you moved in. I'm sure they'll let you go free....

Or you could just stay out of the thread entirely if it upsets you so much since it's about viewing access to the Rockets?
