I read this without seeing who posted thinking it was a guy. When I got to the guy being HOT part, I had to pause and was like "oh, its a girl. Oh! It's 00rocketgirl!" then proceeded to read. Cool story.
There are some guys who also think other guys are hot, you know...? Don't assume it's a girl all the time.
It's called the douchbag is lucky she didn't call the cops and get it back for free. You can't sell stolen property.

pretty much this. We just saw a news article about a guy buying a stolen phone off craigslist and he went to jail for re selling it. I reported it missing/stolen to Verizon to stop it from being activated by another person. The text messages on that phone had a bunch of "THIS PHONE IS STOLEN" "THIS PHONE IS LOST" "PLEASE CALL OR TEXT THIS NUMBER TO RETURN. REWARD etc" texts from my friends with me that night. I wouldn't have a problem proving it. it's not like I had n00dz on my phone and had to retrieve it. I already had another iphone- a second one would just be a backup/ipod. Wasn't going to overpay for something that I don't need and already belonged to me. We did all of the negotiating texting before and he accepted the price. I had to factor in $65 for gas, 7 hours of my time, and a safety risk. Too high, and it wasn't going to be worth it. I wanted to pay him a bonus for the battery, but all the cash I had I had already given him. So I made sure to thank him a million times and be extremely delighted to get my phone back which a person doing a good deed would appreciate. Unfortunately nothing but dreamy mental pictures. 24-26yrs old, 6'-6'2' tall, slender but you can tell he works out, hispanic man with perfect hair and teeth, white shirt, no facial hair. Now back to rich kids with instagrams.
Yeah, I see now that you could have proved it. But why say "lost" first? Just say STOLEN, no? I will maintain that people should return phones ALL THE TIME and what happened to you seems like stolen in that sense. Perhaps it should be another thread.
And this is a big reason I don't post around here as much as I used to. Because somebody always has to make jokes and comments about white knighting and me being a girl. It's very unwelcoming. It's a much more enjoyable forum experience for me to have a male moniker. I spend a heck of a lot more time on reddit than here with a name that doesn't have girl in it and I love it.
I found a pink iphone at target what should i do? There is a high probability the girl is hot. I can be sent to jail and sentenced to a mental hospital or I can get laid .
You could always register a second, gender-neutral moniker here. Unless, of course, you've already done that...
