Really? If he can't control a woman half his size he doesn't belong in the NFL anyway.

Then he keeps his job, avoids the tailspin he is in, and gets to keep making millions.

The NFL released their "Plausible Deniability" excuse this morning after TMZ reported that they never contacted the casino for a copy of the elevator video. Looks like they are full fledged CYA mode now. The next step, if I understand correctly how these things go, will be for the NFL to make a sizable "donation" to groups fighting domestic violence. And while his posts are cynical and sarcastic, Remii raises excellent questions about the DA's and the judge's hypocritical actions in granting favorable treatment toward Rice especially after having viewed this video. Where that you or I, we'd still be hanging upside down on a wall in a jail cell somewhere.

^ That should be "Were that you or me," man.
I cannot believe how many people are still posting "won't return mine, ever!" and "this is wrong! Ravensnation stand up!" and supporting Ray Rice. Priorities are completely skewed with this type of people. :(

Maybe so but somewhere along the line, things became more important than people. People today have become completely desensitized to the suffering of others as long as it doesn't touch their lives personally. And as long as their team is winning, football fans will gladly look the other way. Ravens fans cheered Rice at training camp and would have been ready to give him a standing ovation when he ran out on the field. Josh Brent will be likewise celebrated when his dumb a$$ jogs onto the field at Jerry World. It's just the nature of the beast I suppose but these people would do well to remember that when you dance with the devil, the devil doesn't change - the devil changes you.

Why wouldn't he keep they money he already had?

Has she ever stated that this has never happened before or since? It would seem the most important thing she could say in defense of him, whether true or not.

It's not impossible to regret your actions WITHOUT feeling you deserved all the ramifications. Have you honestly never regretted something you did, but still felt the punishment was too severe? If you can't admit that your agenda level is clouding your comments.

I'm not condoning Ray's actions, I'm saying Vick's actions were worse.. much worse. His wasn't a few dogs, his was 30+ dogs killed/abused over years and years. Do you remember the details? He forced female dogs to breed by restraining their heads and legs. RAPE. Over and over... again and again.

Because bar paytrends are the dreads of society, have no morals, and can't give legit answers because of a drink or 2. Let's not stretch things to make point.

I'm not saying beat them until their almost dead, but not all assaults are illegal. And there is a legal term called "fighting words".

I hear you. However, this isn't "a dog" vs "a woman"... this is "30 dogs abused/killed" vs "ONE woman being KO'd".

    Vick's actions are borderline psychotic.

Exactly... How can we crucify Goodell when the legal system let Ray Rice walk. The legal system is what the public should really be upset with... But they are not which is part of the reason cops can gun down people in the middle of the street (or an armed citizen can shoot someone for walking through his neighborhood).

But if the NFL is going to be the moral compass for our society _ all of the illegal drug users (weed, steroids, etc) and guys who drive while intoxicated should be kicked out the league as well instead of picking and choosing what we find unacceptable or not.

It wasnt Vick acting alone...there were more times than not that these dogs were being abused and killed without Vick being there. Vick's biggest contribution was that he paid for the land and he was involved in the gambling aspect of it.

It wasnt Vick alone abusing and killing dogs. He had a hand in everything, but he was also not present most of the time. The problem is that it was his money that created this whole scenario.

What Rice did is much worse. I dont care what numbers you throw out...a dog is a dog. A human is a completely different ballgame.

She could have pressed charges, got a restraining order, and sued him and got paid and had nothing to do with him.

Hate to disappoint you but their are a lot of people who have violent relationships. And most people who commit domestic violence are repeat offenders. And it's not the old days where women have no place to go.

Stop supporting the NFL and drop your fantasy team since you're in such an outrage until Goodell steps down and all domestic violence offenders are kicked out the league.
Stand up and show your support.

You disagree that Vick wasnt nearly as involved as other people? You disagree that Vick was mostly involved due to the financial side of things?

Bottomline is that you continually say that Vick killed and abused 30+ dogs...when in reality, he was involved in a handful of those. Still doesnt make it right. His biggest crime is giving his money to fund the operation.
