While I loved eating Wendys/JIB/Carls Jr., having filler and the actual beef loaded with **** infested e.coli really dampens the need to stuff my mouth with it.

When I break down, I usually go to the other chains like In-N-Out or P. Terry's. Ignorance is bliss I guess.

If you want a $1 hamburger McDonald's wins. You want a $5 Hamburger McDonald's loses. You want a $10 hamburger, and you're not going to a fast food restaurant.

You get what you pay for, but that $1 hamburger is no more unhealthy (and in fact they usually have fewer calories) than the $10 burger.

You are at the mercy of the grocer and the bakery when making your own, and store-brands are cheaper because they're from the same sources as fast food (albeit with less consistency).

Eat and drink what you want. I trust the food processing standards in the US.

Lopez Meats is the company that makes the hamburgers for McDonald's and BK.

What is with the talk of the processing standards? The processing isn't where the truly disgusting problems are, it's the farming standards.

I haven't eaten or cared about McDonalds for a decade.

It's good that one out of their five suppliers can vouch for cleanliness standards. And no, it's not the same conditions because if it were, they'd declare the same things as their Canada brethren recorded.

But it's a better effort than they're getting credit for. If there's still **** in the burgers, many people haven't been getting sick from it lately.

It's not that these concerns came out of nowhere. 2 years ago, it took a shaming campaign for them to drop "select lean beef trimmings" from their 100% beef recipe.

Australia has a similar video to Canada's. (embedding disabled for some reason)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FqOnOwQ-r8#t=25

I could be wrong and the US has the same conditions as Canada and Australia. It's just that Americans don't care?

Also, a slight audio edit at 1:25... lawyers?

I had one a couple of weeks ago on my way somewhere. It was pretty tasty for a McDonalds burger. A little spicy and a little crispy. You guys have me craving one right now.
