BS. Ravens couldn't get a hold of the video before TMZ? Pfft please…Ravens and NFL are culpable not worthy of praise.
Worse, I don't believe them that they HADN'T already seen the video. When all this was breaking months ago the report was that there was a video of the incident and that the NFL had it. Goodell claims he chose not to watch it, but there were definitely reports out that the video existed.
I'm surprised it took this long for the video to come out but no way do I buy the nfl or the ravens saying they never saw it. C'mon now.
why would he not watch the video? He would rather pass a sentence without seeing what happened? Makes total sense.
Two things: The NFL Commissioner has been horrendous since he has taken over and this is the icing on the cake. He needs to be removed and replaced. Ray Rice's career is over. There is no way another team picks him up, ever.
I must say Goodell has been a terrible commiss. His punishments are never consistent and he's been criticized by players and coaches for as long as I can remember. I don't think it will happen but I hope this guy is out of a job from the fallout of this. Why wouldn't he watch the video if it was out there? They probably saw it, it wasn't an issue until the public saw it.
Kind of sucks for his wife. Now the money train is gone. I don't know how he is going to be able to get a job anywhere.
She can always divorce him and take half of what he has now unless there was a prenump....which I doubt there was considering he needed to silence her.
As long as the NFL is making money hand over fist like it's done during his tenure as NFL commish, Goodell won't be leaving the seat unless it's of Donald Sterling proportions IMO.
We already now Ray rice knocked her out. What difference does it make that there's video of the assault?
too little too late? maybe for roger goddell.. Despicable (coming from a woman) he did it in the past, still doing it, and will do it again. I wont excuse the lady from staying with an abuser, for whatever reason she has stayed I hope her family/friends/ANYONE will convince her to leave, but that will be on her. This crime, however, is on him. Inexcusable. He should be embarrassed to call himself a PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYER.
