yes thats seem the major thing hes been working on last few years, ability to defend anyone on iso. But he still havent fixed his ft's, 3pt shot, blocking out his opp. If he fixes those three issues, hes pretty much starting 5 quality.

Lithuanian JV-DMo duo is much better than last year. And they are still very young, we must be patient, true force is only coming.

Gotta think that playing as a compliment to a center, with below average PG play, and questionable coaching is a great way for Dmo to prep for the rockets season.

It'll likely be JV vs. Asik and DMo vs. Gonlum (36yo 6'10" PF/C)

Since Asik is such a good defender, i expect to see a lot of PnR's involving DMo. If he nails a few threes, it'll totally change the game for LTU.

Isn't that the UCLA Cut? When did it they start calling it the "Iverson?" I never new it was called that, before. Learn something new every day.

The UCLA cut is a pass to the wing, followed by the passer cutting off the big at the strongside elbow.

As for the Iverson cut, I don't know when they started calling it that, but I'm guessing it started some time during Iverson's playing days.
Again though, terminology is fluid, so not all team calls it that. A lot of college folks do. The Bobcats and a fair amount of other NBA teams do. Other NBA teams like Rockets or Grizzlies call it "Loop", which as you may know is also what Spurs call one of their pet actions.

Folks like you are why I'll eventually stop posting on this board. It's a tiresome discussion. How do you think I know the Rockets freakin playcall for this? Must have made it up!

I believe Spain was accused of that by France in 2012 Olympics. Batum got really upset as I remember.

So you saying it is good thing to do because others have done that also? By this logic, all the serial killers and etc. are not criminals because they are not the only ones.

I think bans should be coming for calling other members "Idiot". And it's you who makes idiotic assumptions that it was a comparison of things. It was an example of logic in the way of thinking. U did not say that was good, but u did not say it was bad and as a contra-argument gave an example of spain in 2012. In this way u was defending Australia. In conclusion, u are not thinking and speaking in a way of what your nickname means.

Lillard's shot was a great open look after a brilliantly executed play and a defensive breakdown. This was the exact opposite, a horrible shot choice after a static ISO call that led to nothing, with the defense set perfectly and his personal marker draped all over him. As Chuck says though, it's only a bad shot if you miss.

But that's exactly what your videos showed, no. The UCLA cut is really just the cut itself, which was in the vids, too. As you can do several things with it, so maybe the variations have different names??

Lithuania in the vids was a pass to the wing, followed by the strongside elbow pick, sometimes called a high post Rub Cut, since you can go either way around the pick.

Yeah, so terminology is fluid. I don't like getting bogged down in semantics. But, I'm going to call that the 1-4 UCLA Cut as well. cheers! :)

And thanks for the vid as always. Always love the conversations with you about what you demonstrate to us. It's awesome.

get 'em HMMMHMM. Don't mind people like Realjad who question you. He thinks that's a "set play." Can't tell the difference between a set play and motion.

You should start showing McHale's out of bounds "set" plays. The Hatas pretend they don't exist and that we aren't one of the top teams at it.

I think you just misunderstood/misread what I was saying!

What you're referring to is definitely a UCLA cut and everybody calls it such.

As it pertains to the Lithuania play I posted however, the Iverson cut comes before the UCLA cut. As I wrote the Iverson cut is "a guy making a flat line cut across the free-throw line".
That's why the video is titled 'Lithuania Iverson UCLA High-Low'. The Iverson cut comes first. Then the UCLA cut. Then the high-low action. Hope all is clear now. :)

EDIT: Perhaps this playlist will help illustrating what I was saying/making my point:
