I tore my meniscus standing from a squatted position. Something I had done countless times. In fact I tore my meniscus and have had a hernia in the past two years and I'd hardly call myself injury prone. Sometimes freak injuries just happen.

I was at the game and I honestly think he tore it the play before. The RB jacked Clowney in his lower leg when he was rushing the QB similar to what happened to Cushing. I even mentioned it to my friends that were with me that Clowney got lucky on that one. After the next play he came out of the game.

    Yep & Yep.

When it happened I feared the worst.

I think Mercilus can fill the void for a while.

Not a Texans fan, but why did they draft a DE when clearly the league is about helping offensive players. Im sure the Cowboys or some other team would have offered a few picks for clowney. Couldnt you have gotten a decent qb prospect mid first round and get a few extra picks to go with it?

Texans could have had Clowney and then could have made moves to get any other QB available besides Bortles.

Seahawks have a mediocre QB (though he can get better) and won the ship with straight up the best D in the league. Mind you beating the best O in the league...

i dont know i think it was the correct pick, he's a rookie, this injury isnt a big deal. His potential was greater than anyone else in the draft and if Clowney turns out anything like Watt no one would ever question the decision.

If Clowney is HALF the player Watt is, nobody will question the pick

Nope, but injury prone players are easy to spot early. Has Watt ever received a scratch in practice?

Depends if you define a 100+ career QB rating to be mediocre, never mind the 500+ yards rushing per year.

Manziel, Bridgewater, and Carr will probably be as productive as Clowney in the next 4-6 weeks

You see that giant brace he's had on his arm pretty much his entire career?

    It's not for looks.
