If you count sitting on the bench the entire time, sure! At this point, T-Mac is about as useful as an STD for teams.
We're not sure how far Harden can take us, so that justifies T-mac who we know for certain was a failure Makes total sense.
it's historically a fact that McGrady never played in all 22 games of the Rockets famous winning streak. So anyone who gives full credit to McGrady for 22 games is a liar.
"Harden looks like the average joe that happens to be 6'5" But McGrady had an extraordinary build with complimentary reach and wing span." ~ Donald Tokowitz
Harden does not look like an "average joe." Regardless--his strength and build make him less likely to suffer from a series of injuries. McGrady suffered from back pain throughout his career and of course underwent a shoulder and knee surgery at the end of his prime. He had an extraordinarily injury-prone build. It's a little premature to project whether Harden will miss significant time due to injuries but he has been solid thus far (ignoring the Artest elbow to the cranium). He plays more physically than McGrady but has the power to do so. Also--skill is more important than build, reach or wingspan and Harden has shown to be a more efficient scorer than McGrady.
I hope Harden has a better team career than Tmac. tmac wins in memorable quotes <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/VuOdf8tQXKQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Why is everyone pretending that Harden has an 'average' build? Even for a basketball athlete, he has a freakishly long wingspan. For comparison: Paul George is 6'9 (w shoes) with a 6'11 wingspan James Harden is 6'5 (w shoes) with a 6'11 wingspan That's a 6 inch bigger wingspan than his height, which puts him on Anthony Davis level in terms of freakish length.
Because? Statistcally, the only reason McGrady's first season with the Rockets could be considered better than Harden's was for his rebounding and blocked shots. That's because McGrady was taller.
At his peak, T-Mac is the better player. Length, athleticism, and two-time scoring leader. You'd be nuts if you picked Harden, but Harden is still very young so who knows.
