Lol, some of you guys are drama queens. Its not the end of his career and it doesn't mean he is a bust.
he will be fine. wasn't it andre who suffered an mcl injury back in 07 at the beginning of the season? came back to finish a string of 6 games with like a billion yards. JJ watt should bless clowney so he won't miss much time. =)
Uh oh....and so it begins...lol smh Houston...I love you....but your knee jerk is INCREDIBLY wack. Relax! Texans look like they *might* just be decent again....Clowney coming back in mid season with a Defense that already looks STOUT AS HELL WITHOUT HIM is a good thing. Sucks, but its far from the end of the world. Get healthy, JD.... Again....Houston.....relax!
Hoping for the best but Clowney looking injury prone already. It was encouraging to see Reed play as well as he did today, they will need Reed and Mercilus to step up so Clowney loss won't hurt as bad. Puts a damper on today's win no doubt though.
Defense will be fine without JD but it doesn't mean he isn't injury prone. Look for Whitney mercilus to have a productive season under Romeo crennel.
He'll be amazing when he's actually on the field, but like you said it looks like he'll always have some kind of nagging injury to deal with. Probably should have gone with Bortles.

He'll be fine, man. Too soon to call a dude "injury prone" after a few exhibition games and half a regular season game. At this point, I'm calling it bad luck.... That said....Get well soon, JD.
Jeremy Lin had a torn meniscus and he's the greatest player who has ever lived... But seriously, I'd like to see the numbers on how many careers torn meniscus' have ended versus how many they haven't. I'd bet there are many, many more examples that fall under the latter category. What happened to Brandon Roy has no bearing on what will happen to Clowney.
He came back with a gimpy knee and was not the same player in the playoffs. After his series of injuries, better get Clowney healthy first before easing him back into games. Texans made a huge investment on him; handle with care.
It's nice some of you are being positive, but Clowney clearly looks injury-prone. He was hurt his last two years in college, hurt in the preseason, now he's hurt before finishing one damn game. Doesn't mean he'll always be hurt, but it's very reasonable to suggest he's injury prone.
Hind sight... Drafting Blake Bortles wouldn't have been such a bad thing  Good thing the defense didn't need him.
That being said...terrific job that the coaching staff/medical staff prevented Clowney from going out there after that play...
