It looks like Clowney just pulled something. No big deal. The problem with Clowney this game though seems to be covering against the run. He's doing a fantastic job pressure wise in passing situations, but he's getting eaten alive in the running game.

Probably another concussion. He was screaming "im ok" at the trainer. Probably doingiimpact testing right now to come back in the game
I don't think it has anything to do with his pecs. That poster was just trying to be funny, and failing miserably.
Well MLB is a far more statistical-based game... and OPS now routinely used by everybody (wasn't the case 15-20 year ago), and WAR is now used by most reputable sources. The fact is, football has zero viable stats to show a defensive player's true impact.
I know Bill Barnwell talks about football outsiders all the time. While I don't particularly care for their numbers, since I'm not enough of a football junkie to really analyze them like I could basketball numbers, they have some really nice ideas. Things like fumble recoveries being mostly luck and tend to regress, or the incorporation of field position in terms of scoring potential. Still mostly done on a team level rather than individual defenders though. Makes sense given how team-oriented the game is compared to basketball and baseball.
wtf is going on? they're robbing jj of a sack. the grounding penalty should be a sack credited to jj. damn haters.
I think its just O'Brien and Crennel being overly cautious. Same with the Clowney thing. There's a reason Andre said this team is possibly the healthiest he's ever had going into the first week.
