I haven't even finished season 1. I got bored really quick. It just seems like they were trying to drag out the whole story for too damn long. Nothing ever happened.
A small bump. I just finished watching season 4. What a shocking ending. I was not expecting that at all.... Spoiler This season was just terrific. It had several shocking plot twists that were kind of missing from the previous seasons. 1. Agent Lundy getting killed. 2. Finding out Christine is the Trinity killer's daughter. 3. The ending eek Definitely the best seasons of 1-4. And the first 3 seasons were awesome too. Okay on to watching the rest of the show. See you guys in a week....
Man...Dexter Season 4 is one of my all time favorite seasons of television. Sadly the show doesn't keep up that same quality down the stretch, but still one of my favorites.
You could actually stop right now and move on to something else because this is the most satisfied you'll ever be with this show. Seasons 7 and 8 would have aired right after this ending if Showtime weren't so desperate for top premium programming.
Please stop watching now. If Dexter had ended after season 4 it would be up there with the likes of GOT and BB for me. Dexter season 5-8 was written by a bunch of r****ded monkeys.
The posters who replied above are actually not kidding when they suggest you could/should stop watching now. You absolutely should. It's all bull**** after season 4.
It's just like the other Showtime prized pig "Weeds." Very entertaining and enjoyable and then BAM unwatchably bad.
there was one episode in season 4, where dexter went against a female cop who killed her husband and kid or kids. some great comedy in there but the ending scene had rita and her kids returning home tired and they all sat on the couch and slept while sitting next to an awake dexter. it made it seem like dexter's holding up his dead family on the couch. dont know if anyone remembers that but i thought it was a creepy scene and stayed with me.
Season 4 was a steaming pile outside of John Lithgow and (I won't spoil) the twist at the end of the finale. Dexter truly went full r****d that season with his stupid alias (yet he still used his own cell phone?) and the first appearances of his erratic, stupid behavior. Season 1 was great, season 2 was good, season 3 was solid but season 4 was actually the beginning of the end and not the pinnacle of the series.
