Why aren't these signings appearing here, Bima? http://stats.nba.com/transactions.html?ls=iref:nba:gnav The last transaction for the Rockets you see is the Ariza/Asik trade. Every other team's signings are reported here. Contract is agreed to, submitted to the league office and then it comes out on the website as official. Why aren't the Rox signings reported here? Supposed to have physicals within 3 days of contract execution. Has that been done?
Lebron also needs a shooter next to him. If chalmers can flourish with lebron imagine what kyrie can do. They wouldn't move kyrie for bledsoe
Bledsoe is better off the ball and defensively, his injuries are a concern, but I think he'd be a much better fit with Lebron/Love. Now I'm not saying they'd do it, but it would make sense.
If you want to use the post-Terry trade Rockets roster, or rather the still unofficial Terry trade situation, then it will simply be a 3-team deal. Rockets send those contracts to Sacramento for Terry and the picks. And at the same time, send Terry, Covington, Jones, Capella, Canaan, and whoever left between Hopson/Powell from the Terry trade for Bledsoe S&T Max offer. 150% rule kicks in as the Rockets are under the luxury tax threshold.
Makes too much basketball sense and Lebron LOVES Bledsoe, Lebron has said that Bledsoe is the guy he enjoys watching the most. Bledsoe is also nick named Mini-Lebron. That said Irving is a true franchise player and PHX would have to give up much much more than just Bledsoe for this trade to go through.
I don't think they would give up both Jones and Capella. That would just leave us with Dorsey 6'8, Adrien 6'7.5, D-Mo 7'0 and Howard 6'10 with shoes on. Need to keep another young big to develop behind D-Mo even if it is for RVG or bench duty. Pap will play some stretch four here but he is only 6'8. I kinda feel like Capella could stay. It's rare that you get a youngster that is 6'11 that can run the floor well in our type of offense and jump out the gym. Put him in the weight room and let him work with Dream and Mchale now and if he has good work ethic he could turn into something in a few years. I think we have to play to win now, but still be preparing for the post Dwight-era. Unlike the Texans who never had competition for Schaub and now we stuck without a QB. Did I just say that.
There are many ways the Rockets could match salary. I just used those players as examples. Sub out Capella and put in Nick Johnson or DMo instead of Jones. Regardless, the Rockets can match the salary based at least on what I know of CBA trade rules.
But that move can't be completed till after the season begins. Bledsoe situation will be resolved by then.
That could just be the NBA.com web guy's fault. ESPN trade machine is accurate with their info. Johnson & Capela's trade restrictions expiries corresponded (30 days after) to the social media photos these guys uploaded on the different days when they signed.
While I agree to a point Lebron and Bledsoe are very similar as players. Lebron's biggest strength is his passing and what he creates while having the ball so I think him and bledsoe would be sort of repetitive.
That doesn't hold water when they post the transactions from the league office and they've got all the other teams' signings, trades, coaching and front office hires and fires all listed. But they don't have all the Rox signings and trades reported. Has nothing to do with whether or not Adrien, Ish, and Dorsey are officially Rockets. Here's a pic of Kostas signing his contract and Big Ben Dubose announcing it is "official". https://twitter.com/BenDuBose/status/498861859995258880 Screeeeeeeeeeeech! Oh, wait! Stop that! No, no! He didn't really sign. Come on man. Dude signed. And then they decided to hold the deal until after FIBA. Wonder why? (Same thing with the minimum salary guys. When their signings are actually official they will show up on the NBA.com website.)
I told you....he's in Witness Protection. Plowman voiceover: "Right after I got here I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce and they gave me egg noodles with ketchup. I'm an average nobody. I get to live my life like a schnook."
