It's a New England thing where the opposing team never can take the injury report seriously because it's always extensive and includes players that are listing but are in no way/shape/form injured. Opposing teams can't game plan the injury report. I think Tom Brady has been listed on the injury report every day for the past 5 years.
Clowney has two sacks. Watt has one. ESPN starts debating about who's better. Foster will rush for 108 yards, receive another 65 and have two touchdowns. Andre has 100 yards and a TD. Hopkins has 80 yards. The Polish Hat has six catches and a TD. Yes folks, I'm going to predict the Texans win 31- 13.
According to the majority of this forum, he would have to sit 4-6 games to see if Fitz is going to work out or get hurt.
There's no confusion. Tom Brady is who he is, Ryan Mallett is who he is, Fitz is who he is. OB knows who they are and his decision is the one that counts, your dismissal of everyone's opinion doesn't change that. My opinion is that Mallett will soon be the starting QB for the Texans.
I don't doubt he will be, Ryan Mallett is to BOB as Schaub was to Kubiak.....that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be better to wait a few weeks before throwing the kid out there.

If you're worried about Brian Cushing's health...don't. The inside linebacker said he's just fine. "100 percent," Cushing said on Friday. "I'm not worried about anything anymore. Those days are over. When you put as much as I do into rehab and work, you know you're ready to go." After missing the second half of 2013 because of a knee injury, Cushing is ready to go for Sunday's opener against Washington. He'll start in the middle at the "Mike" linebacker spot, and knows his return to action in a regular season contest will be one to remember. "It's extremely special," Cushing said. "It's something I want to do and be a part of. To be back playing football, it feels right." As excited as he is, the same can be said for his head coach Bill O'Brien. He even took it a step further on Thursday, when he was asked whether or not he was "fired up" for Cushing's return. "That's a good way to put it," O'Brien said. "I'm fired up to watch Brian Cushing play. I believe we all are. He's had a really good week of practice." Cushing appreciated hearing those words from O'Brien. "It means a lot," Cushing said. "Obviously, he anticipates me to play well and it's something that I'm obviously, anticipating as well and I think all my teammates are." Cushing and the Texans kick off the 2014 campaign with Sunday's opener at NRG Stadium against Washington. (Noon, CT on FOX-26/KRIV)
Who do you believe gives thr offense a better chance of success Mallett or Fitz? Also , if Brady had gone down, would the Pats have gone with Mallett? If so, then if you would put Brady in upon being a Texan, then Mallett should be given a chance.
I just watched a bunch of Cushing videos back to back to back. Nobody gets me more hyped and crunk than Brian Cushing. The guy makes me want to run through a wall. He should be mic'd every game and be the only one to break huddles. So pumped for sunday!!!
Your reasoning makes no sense whatsoever. Curtis Painter was the backup in Indianapolis behind Peyton and would have gone in had Peyton gotten injured. However, he was God-awful and everybody knew it. Any team that made him their starter would have promptly gone down the drain. Think about guys like Matt Flynn, Dan Orlovsky, Matt Cassel, and a whole slew of other QBs who were given a chance simply because they were unknown commodities as backups.
You can easily say it makes no sense whatsoever, and you may be right. I could also be right, I'm not talking about the situation you described, I'm talking about this situation. You must be an old closed minded geezer. Open your mind and think about this, Mallett was a viable option in New England, Fitz has never been viable (I know he's done OK in the past yada yada), Mallett knows OB's offense conceptually, so give him a little at a time and work up as the go. His talent is above and beyond Fitz.
People are comparing the Redskins D of this year versus the Redskins D of last year. It's like night and day. The OLBs are given pass rush (with contain) responsibilities. The interior Dline will be able to penetrate and play sound run stop defense, filling the gaps. The secondary has new leadership and improved fundamentals such as tackling and playing smarter. Apparently Mike Shannhan had say so in the defensive play calling when he didn't like plays the D coordinator drew up. This time it's all on the D coordinator. The addition of Jason Hatcher (Cowboys best defensive player last season) and leadership in Ryan Clark, a 2nd year CB David Amerson who could be mentioned with the top corners in the league in a couple of years, and a ILB that no one really knows about because he's been injured the first year and a half of his career, this defense is going to surprise alot of people. Don't be fooled my Madden ratings lol
