HIMYM (How I Met Your Mother) Returns TODAY

So, I'm not sure what happened...but all of a sudden, I find myself watching this every day in reruns. I had never watched it before. Now, I'm hooked and am years behind. Catching up slowly during the day (I work from home). Thanks to FX & FXX, shouldn't take too long.

Is that official or some guy remaking it? Seems weird they wouldn't post it on an official website or youtube account.

 

seems official, the Season 9 DVD is coming out on the 23rd, usually someone gets a hold of it early and post it online

someone did the same thing when the Breaking Bad Final season came out and posted the spoof ending with the Malcom in the Middle plug before the DVD set was released

 

i don't understand the appeal for this show.

It's because of the way the show was structured. Set in the future and telling stories that jumped all over the place but yet still tied together and made sense. Also the viewers were captivated on finding out who the mother was. At the time it started airing it was a fresh new sitcom that wasn't the norm. It did get stale as seasons went on but like most shows it's hard to keep up that level throughout a series run.

doesnt seem like an alternate ending more just a shortened version of the original

 

Much better ending in my opinion. Wish they would have gone with this one instead. I didn't hate the original one but this one is better though.

it basically ignored the last episode or last 30 mins of it, the creators probably felt they HAD to use the ending they filmed 7 years before they had the actual season finale but in reality, wasn't needed

I would've have been fine with this and the original ending as the alternate

although, Alyson Hannigan stated the alternate ending still had the mother pass away, just had more scenes between the mother dying and Ted showing up at Robyn's place again with the blue trumpet
