My GF is a huge Halo fan and thinks it's a sad gimmick. At least to what MGS did and the same game but from a different perspective.
How is it a sad gimmick? Reliving this franchise without having to scatter for an original Xbox, Xbox 360 is great..... On top of that you get to play these games with updated visuals and the best part..... MULTIPLAYER online with an Xbox One...... Halo 2 Anniversary edition alone is not a gimmick if it comes with its epic multiplayer.... They went the extra mile and released every game in the series.... This is not a gimmick, this is a bargain.... Look for the Metroid prime 3 in 1 bundle game for the WII.. Its over $80 and its literally just the original GameCube titles.... This is Halo1,2,3 and 4 plus every single map ever...
The multiplayer is what sold me. A re-release will undoubtedly draw a good user base, which is (IMHO) the most significant contributor to my desire to play multiplayer. Your innovations mean jack squat if I don't have noobs to frag
I don't know about running through the halo campaigns again but all the maps will be badass in multiplayer.
lmao im sorry but no no way she is a HUGE halo fan and think this a gimmick...just lol. Game comes with original halo 2 with updated graphics and original ranks...thats no gimmick thats what halo fans have been wanting since Bungie killed halo with reach.
Yeah...not sure how you can be a "huge Halo fan" and think it's a gimmick... They're definitely going to reap rewards mostly off people's nostalgia, but who cares? Updated graphics for some of the greatest games ever? With FULL multiplayer? That's nothing but a bargain for those who really enjoy the game. A vast majority will love this, including myself.
I'm a huge Halo fan; and I'll be buying the MCC but it is very obviously a cash grab. It's also pretty obvious that it's intended to keep people's attention until Halo 5 is released. If you can't see that, then you clearly aren't paying attention.
360 can play copies of Halo & Halo 2... why would you need an original Xbox? I'm sure I'll get MCC myself, after I eventually buy an XB1. But definitely not going to buy the system for it, or any new Halo game either.
A 'cash grab' wouldn't have been anywhere near as complete a package with so many enhancements. It's obviously a way to get Halo on the system earlier, but it's a very impressive compilation.
I look at it as less of a "cash grab" and more of a fan service. It's obviously a cash grab at least somewhat, but the amount of work that's being put into it and the content you get for the price make it more than worth it and a great value overall. I still can't believe the multiplayer options they're giving you. It's going to be awesome.
All games are cash grabs. But it isn't like Halo: Anniversary (which I bought because I never played the original). It is the main series of games all on one with updated graphics and with multiplayer. If I had an XB1, I'd be all over it.
Anyone playing Pilot Skirmish on Titanfall? Not bad actually. It's like Modern Warfare. The camping is back though.
I sort of doubt she's a huge fan. Maybe she really likes playing on live, or maybe she played through campaign once or twice, but I think people use that term too loosely. Huge fans are obsessed with the storyline, love the online content, own copies of both the PC and Xbox versions, etc. Heck, I'd put her at huge fan level if she made a custom map for Halo or Halo 2 on PC...
i never got into halo but i would check it out. what im waiting on is the new gears of war.. thats my game, its the reason i bought a 360. the news of a new game is the reason i went ahead and bought a one..
