Actually Parsons will make a lot more. Watt is going 900k, 10M, 10.5M over the next three years plus however his signing bonus of 10M will be distributed (oftentimes over the life of the contract).

Once again, maybe I am brown nosing Morey too much.. But a GM that plays it safe is only good for a huge market team. He played the right hand this off season, going as far as to have a verbal commitment that would make our team a contender. Any GM that can do that is doing their job. Bosh just happened to be well....

So all the players that could've helped us went to bigger market teams:confused:

It's funny you responded to my post without even addressing my points. The REAL question is, why was Parsons even a FA to begin with? The other question is, why was Kevin Mchale retained another season? Was he the best option as coach this offseason? We all know that's a no. You guys are sitting here saying Morey did "NOTHING wrong" this offseason, looking real delusional right now. Chasing stars at the expense of properly filling in the necessary holes of the team is not the work of a genius GM. Stop it

I don't know if DM got the last laugh but considering the major curveball we were thrown I like what he's done to give us a tougher mentality without strangling flexibility. We have a few more veterans to help out and increased our defense which was clearly our biggest flaw last season.

The biggest variable in how this team move forward is Harden's growth on Team USA and translating it onto our squad.

    Youre Wrong buddy, big time

Last I checked Parsons will be playing 3rd fiddle behind Dirk and Monta, so how did the mavs improve, by paying their 3rd best player the highest salary on the team? Parsons is a Max player and got beat out on Team USA by Rudy Gay who literally walked on off the street. The mavs have taken themselves out of the arms race for at least 2 years all in the name of Parsons, what does Parsons do so damn well that he is worth that kind of sacrifice? Fact: Ariza is a better defender and 3 pt shooter at half the price. Terry will be a better 6th man than Lin. Our defense will be better this year b/c all of our pick ups are all defensive minded players except Terry. Maybe you don't pay attention to our GM but draft pix equal big trades. We have 3 picks, 1 lottery, trade exceptions, expiring Terry contract, and young cheap talent. This is the exact same scenario under which we got Harden. How many Playoff teams that are contenders are also loaded with a variety Trade-able assets???
