USC/Stan and MSU/Oregon should be great games. Also expecting BYU to beat UT.

It sucks because every SEC team is playing one of their four customary games against FCS opponents.

I think Michigan State will beat Oregon. Not sold on the Ducks this year.

Wouldn't be surprised if VaTech hangs close to Ohio State.

Not just the SEC. Look around all of college football.

What about Notre Dame and Michigan? Classic rivalry playing out for the last time. My Irish also have a stellar quarterback that doesn't have the size to be a NFL quarterback but man he's got a huge arm. Golson for Heisman!

Week 2 is always fairly weak, especially for the SEC. I'll thoroughly enjoy watching Auburn run up the score, though. Michigan - ND, Oregon - MSU, and USC - Stanford should be fun as well.

Fair enough. I remember (perhaps incorrectly) better non-conference games as recently as 2005-2008. The Texas-Ohio State series immediately comes to mind, for instance.

Nebraska and South Carolina, for some reason, are perennially overrated.

This week isn't great, but there are a couple of marquee games and some games later in the day that I think will be fun to watch.

I took a look ahead at next week's schedule, though, and it's hot garbage outside of Georgia/South Carolina. The next best game is probably Texas/UCLA and after that it might honestly be Mizzou/UCF.

McNeese State may have blown beating Nebraska with the dumbest penalty ever.
