I'll definitely be interested in trying this out, though not sure how soon I'll get to it. I'm too busy getting re-obsessed with FFX (the HD release just came out). Heck, I haven't even played Dark Souls 2 yet. Never thought I'd take more than a week to start a new Souls game. This month has been brutal for game releases.
I farmed a Hellfire ring over the weekend to put on my Crusader.I got a really lucky good mix of Str/Vit and LOK and +life. I will probably start him up tonight and then blast thru Act 5 on Normal with my wizard to get adventure mode open. My tag is Christophe#1856 if anyone wants to add me.
Huh. That actually sparked a thought... are Hellfire rings affected by Loot 2.0? Do they get way better rolls than before? If so I might need to get me one. I have one now that's decent, but could be better. Plus I think it's Dex instead of Str.
This was my first so I can't speak to how they were before 2.0. Now, though you can choose one of the four primary stats. You get about 300 of that stat plus 3 more randoms. I'm guessing if you choose vitality as your main stat the rest will will roll on 2.0 rules. Not positive on this. I chose str as my primary and got lucky with vit and the hp secondaries. I would have liked loh instead of lok, but it still wasn't too bad. I'm more interested in the 35% Xp boost for leveling too.
Ah, well they did change it then. You always chose the primary stat and then got random rolls, however the primary stat was in the 170-200 range. So they buffed it along with everything else. Good times. Might need to get a few more rings before I start the Crusader then.
The mats can't be farmed past 60 for the 60 ring. There will be a new 70 version though that is a little different to farm.
Is it safe to sell my original PS3 version since "Ultimate Evil Edition" is coming in August? The existing saves will still work right?
I've read in forums people say as long as you're using the same PSN ID as you were on ps3 the character you have will transfer over. But at the same time I have yet to find where Blizzard has actually confirmed this. With Blizzard not confirming anything this close to the game's release its a bit of a head scratcher. I'm guessing it will not be available at release and patched in later
Its such a damn shame Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 haven't been able to hold my interest as long as Diablo 2 and Starcraft:BW did.
Isn't it? With that said I've been holding off playing the PC version of D3 since the updates (including the expansion) because I'm buying the PS4 version.
I tried to do that a week or so earlier and I tried creating a lobby and I got flooded with bots. Lmfao.
So funny story. I tried to play D3 a week before the RoS expansion. Unfortunately, I couldn't log in because my authenticator messed up when I changed phones. I had to contact Blizzard support to lift the authenticator from my account. But, I had already given a fake name back when they started to require real names on Battle.net accounts that I couldn't verify my identity with a government-issued ID. So, I can no longer play Blizzard games. Lol.
I found an article from today; you will definitely be able to transfer saves from 360 to PS4 or PS3 to PS4 so I'm sure PS3 to PS3 will work.
Yeah I'm not sure if they announced it today but to do the transfer from a previous gen system you have to go through their website at battle.net/playstation and apparently there are step by step instructions to link your accounts.
I've been playing again since patch 2.1 doing the season ladder with a monk. Haven't gotten any particularly great gear yet. Whole ladder race was kind of ruined by the non-combat quests in adventure mode on torment level 6. The meathod used is as follows: Create a new adventure mode game at torment level 6 difficulty and check the map for the following bounties: •Miser's Will (Act V - very rare) - Westmarch Commons - could take a while to find the Miser's Hovel •Miner's Gold (Act II - common) - Howling Plateau - need to be alive to get the experience when the event ends. Either keep moving and avoiding enemies, or respawn right before it ends. If you can, open the resplendent chest to get some loot so that you are tankier in future runs. •Jar of Souls and The Matriarch's Bones (Act I - somewhat common) - Cemetery of the Forsaken - the Matriarch's Bones can be completed without killing the Ghost. Just ignore him and click for the crypt to end the quest. •This method is even better in a party (since there are more targets for enemies, less chance of dying), with each player creating their own game and inviting others once the quests are found. It also makes it more likely for the party to find the Miser's Will event, which grants more experience than the others. Mind that this method has a few cons: 1.It is somewhat boring, as you aren't really fighting, just avoiding enemies and collecting the bounty reward. 2.You will die often, so it's not suitable for Hardcore 3.You will get most of the experience from Miner's Gold, and there's a catch with that event - if you're dead when it ends, you get no experience (unlike the other 3 events which require you to "activate" something to get the reward). 4.You will barely collect any materials (pre-level-60), almost no gold (for lvl 70 enchants), and less Rift Keystones and Blood Shards than through normal leveling. 5. Remaking games over and over again (to check for the events) could be problematic for players who have disconnect issues, or if Blizzard servers are overwhelmed by too many users.
Loaded it up for the first time in a while. Was doing some bounties when I killed one of the treasure goblins just as he was about ready to jump out. Surprisingly enough, his portal stared open, so I hop through and found myself in "The Vault". Awesome dungeon. Break anything and you get a rain of gold and gems, and there were only a few minor enemies. Then I come to the end and I find myself in a big empty room. Well, empty except for Spoiler Greed. Yup, one of the minor evils herself. I kill her and a HUGE treasure chest drops on her. It pops open and a ton of gold and Legendaries go flying out. The best part? Greed is hanging out of the chest. Click on it, and the top slams down on her. Amazingly satisfying to slam it down on her a few times. First time there, hope I find it again.
