It's eh news. Not good. Not terrible. This is a guy who got cut from a team that needs help at safety in Cincinnati. He's 33 years old.
I think it's good news. Experience at the minimum. Hopefully he's healthy and playing like he did before he got injured last year. He really was pretty good before last year's injury.
I think it's good for depth, I feel more comfortable with him as the 3rd safety And maybe he can actually return kicks now that he likely wins start
I always liked him. Real great personality. Good player. At 33 don't know how much he can do, but he is perfect for spot duty. I would like to see him used on some returns.
That's probably it. I guess DJ and Lewis are the starters. Saw Keo and Pleasant on ST but not Clemons. Makes sense. Would like to see if, even at 33, Manning can help out as a return guy. Kubes was hesitant to use him in that role because he didn't want to risk a ST injury to a starter. But since he's no longer a starter, maybe he can be used in that return role now.
Manning will provide depth at safety and give an additional option on returns. I haven't really seen much written about it, but I assumed returns were part of the reason they claimed Damaris Johnson, too. Maybe we'll be fortunate enough that BOB actually thinks that field positon is an important aspect of the game and will see which player gives the team the better advantage. The previous regime certainly didn't place much value in that area.
I always got weirded out by the way he spelled his first name. Just knew something ain't right with that boy.
Really hope this cat is returning some kicks. He's a phenomenal returner, one of the best in the league. That is, assuming he's healed up and hasn't lost a step.
. At 33 and being a safety, he should have more than enough left in the tank. want to see him on 3rd and longs.
