I read that Durant will get a 50 million retirement account at the end of the contract. Nice touch.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Jordan brand retros and new basketball shoes are so s h i t t y that they've had to "remaster" their brand. Basically admitting the quality was bad. Nike basketball makes the best hoop shoes and are the most innovative company. Everyone else copies nike. Adidas are trash and ugly.

Both false. Jordan makes up most of Nike's profit. That is fact. If you want to talk about quality or performance, thats another matter. Jordan's are still their best seller. Also, Jordan is under the Nike brand. Nike makes Jordans. So if there's any complaint about Jordan quality, blame Nike.

As for them remastering their retros, a lot of that is a marketing ploy. Its no secret that Nike uses cheaper materials now, than they did back in the day. Not just for Jordans, but for all of their shoes. And they're not remastering their entire "brand", just the retros everybody will go crazy for.

Honestly, you get what you pay for. These are basketball sneakers, remade from the 80s-90s. Mass produced, made with synthetic leather. What do people expect? There is a reason why the Jordan retros retail for around $170 and newer, more expensive materials, more performance driven sneakers like the new Kobe or Lebrons can retail from $200+.

If dudes want high quality, premuim italian leather on their sneakers, they should shell out $400+ for some Balenciagas.

Jordan Brand revenue is about 2.25b, it amounts to about 9% of Nike's business. Big? certainly, most of Nike's profit? no

Meant to specificy just Basketball. Nike owns about 90% of the market share in basketball sneakers. But still, think about how crazy that is. Only $2B of revenue, out of the $26B or so NKE makes altogether. Wow and it doesn't look like they're are slowing down.

I wonder if they will bring out a James Harden signature. Seems very marketable with that beard and all those foot locker commercials. As long as he keeps balling out of his mind, its only a matter of time we get "The Beard 1".
