We are still thin at PF if a trade goes down for one of these star PGs. I thought Papanikolaou would play PF, but he plays like a SF
It's because they're at that age where they mistake hardcore skepticism/cynicism with wisdom. A lot of us were there once, folly of youth and all that, it's just the internet has created a scenario where age groups that would never interact outside of a seniority/subordinate culture actually do interact outside that environment.
I'm not sure it's an age thing as much as it is a fool me once kind of deal. Shaun 11 broke open a 50 page thread with complete bunk. This thread early on evolved into a platform for Roe4christ to make a fool of himself and his defenders. Then all the Drew soon mess broke out. Did it require any age limit to not believe their nonsense? No offense to Plowman personally, but at this point his track record is eerily similar.
There's a discernible difference between someone that creates an account to make stuff up and someone that's been here for 15 years.
They would likely still take the risk because they have to. They are Sacramento. They would fight with a cousins/gay/rondo big 3 and offer rondo the max in the off season. Likely the most he is offered. If your Sacramento, you take that risk because you don't have anything better to do besides risk it... otherwise it's bye bye cousins in a few years.
So you're saying that because of shaun11 and roe (who were both obviously ridiculous), all potential inside information should be greeted with skepticism and the flame? Or that if the inside information doesn't pan out (something that is almost surely out of the control of the messenger) that they should be exposed or banned? I ask again, what does this bring to the table vs keeping your skepticism to yourself? What does say to fans or insiders who have legit info to share? Ultimately that the risk in sharing privileged information is not worth how it will be received here.
lol Yes I know. Just seemed strange that when I heard that announced we made this advantageous trade. I am sure They wouldn't do a trade anyway but why the salary dump?
It's interesting that posters have completely ignored this very important point. Negotiations are fluid and time frames will change dependent on the whims of the participants. Even insiders are getting their info 2nd or 3rd hand at best and not instantaneously updated. Expectations are completely unrealistic.
It's even worse when certain posters take an insider's information and misinterprets it as an absolute or comprehends it incorrectly. That stirs up a different world of misinformation and expectations.
For those giving Plowman, Drew, etc. a hard time. Do you have better information? If you do, then share. If not, then understand that insider information is never going to be 100% accurate. Just relax, sick of seeing all these personal attacks. They are here giving a dull and boring offseason some colour.
Ahh. What is clutchfans without calling for someone's head? Thanks for all of the information Plowman. The ones who appreciate you are the ones who understand the fluid nature of the NBA. Ignore the haters and keep on truckin' my friend. If Rondo ends up being who we acquire somehow, I'm still not sure if I like the way his game meshes with Harden's, but I guess that's something or those guys to figure out.
What I find interesting about these insiders is that they are always talking about these big-name players that the Rockets are trying to sign. We'll wait weeks and eventually something does happen... Except it's something that was on nobody's radar at all. Almost every time. If these sources are so connected, then why are we always surprised about these trades that come out of left field? They never sniff them.
Because a lot of c***hole Internet warriors who think they know every g**damned thing are jumping on him like a bum on a baloney sandwich.
You could be spot-on, could be. Except for the "The Suns ... will be quite good by '15-'16 and the Suns will easily make the playoffs." Because - - the Suns play in the West where making the play-offs does not come easily.
Because the people who "reported" them told everyone here there was a time frame. The rest of the board didn't make that up or impose that upon the "information" that was shared. The guys who brought the claim gave a timeframe for it to occur within. That's happened at least twice now.
