Starz was showing on Friday night and Saturday morning, the movie "Frozen". I remember watching this in the theaters with my son (when you have a 5 year old, you wind up watching a lot of kiddie movies). However, this movie is not just a kid movie. There is a lot of things in it that appeals to adults with a well-written story, great character development, and of course, breathtaking animation that only Disney is capable of. This is not a movie like "Planes" (which came on afterwards). I think it will be awhile before I see another animated movie that approaches the level of greatness that "Frozen" has done. What is your favorite animated movie?
Frozen is far and away the best Disney has done since Pixar took over with Toy Story. Real throwback to the early 90s Disney run, with a real emphasis on music and character development. However, Frozen tends to stand out even from those because of the modern dialog and self-aware humor. For instance, you go back and watch Aladdin now and realize that movie would have really sucked if not for Robin Williams. My 2 year old watches it almost every day, it's a good one.
The toy story series is my favorite. I'm sick of Frozen, I have a 1.5 and 3 year old, so they've burned me out with Frozen.
I hate anything, including plays, where the characters sign. WTF is that? That's not real, man. Iron Giant and that dragon movie didn't have any pee-pee game singing. Wall-E didn't either. I'll take those. I also don't like any Tim Burton Halloween on X-Mas crap.
Hunchback of Notre Dame? Hercules (not that I was a fan)? Mulan? Tarzan? Bolt? Tangled? Hard to say what my favorite all-time animated movie is. So many good ones. I'll go with Tangled, though there are at least a dozen animated movies I'd say are truly great movies.
That is a good one! One that I have seen recently but not when it came out in the theaters but I thought was good was "Wreck-It Ralph".
Incredibles is underrated.... Aladin and Lion King come to mind DC comics have some good movies . . . . Anime movies count? Rocket River
big fan of Incredibles, especially the incredible fashion designer. most already mentioned. haven't seen Frozen. guess i have to add that to the bucket list
I don't understand the hype around Frozen. I thought it was ok not the highest grossing animated movie good. Incredibles Up Iron Giant Lion King Aladdin WALL-E Toy Stroy
Some of my childhood favorites: Land Before Time Secret of NIHM Jungle Book The Fox and The Hound Robin Hood The Emporer's New Groove Lion King Aladdin The Rescuers Down Under The Aristocats
