Let's hope that Garoppolo plays well so Mallett will get cut. I'm hoping that the Rams don't offer up a late round pick because of what happened to Bradford.

I think we're in good shape with Fitzpatrick.

I think they're both pretty bad. I'm okay rolling with whichever is cheaper. Considering what it might take to get Mallett (dealing picks) I imagine that would be Fitzpatrick.

He's better than Keenum, has talent, familiar with the system, and would come at no cost.

purely opinionated, but just thought he would have more upside as he's younger and has only been given bench duties

fitz starting for 10 years and being mediocre throughout doesn't sit well for me

Why no cost? He'd require a pick and then a new contract. I don't see any scenario where he gets cut. If he's cut outright, yeah, sure.

You know what would suck? If Jimmy G becomes the heir apparent to Tom Brady, good enough for Belichick while BOB, a Belichick disciple, passed him up in the 2nd round.

I have a feeling XSF will contribute nicely, and that would've been a helluva high pick at this point.

According to the article I posted if Garoppolo plays well in his start Mallett could be left off the 53 man roster.

Very true. Rather look for a real qb in next years draft.

I think this Mallet thing is a real possibility. If they picked him up off the waiver wire, what are the Texan's obligations? Do they have to pay him his current contract or can they renegotiate?

They'd have to pay his current salary, and the other objection would be that he's not any good.

Isn't the rap on him his personal life (party life style) but that he has skills, especially a big time arm. I saw him at Arkansas and he looked very talented in several SEC games.

He's incredibly slow and he's dumb as a bag of hammers, his party lifestyle doesn't help anything.
