Hardball tactic with the Suns they don't want to go into the season with Bledsoe on the roster. If Bledsoe signs the tender I believe in the CBA he has to agree to any trade offer. Were as now they can trade him to whoever they desire with his approval or not. Plus if they don't trade him now they will only be able to trade hime for another player in that money slot which is 3.7 mil. and that's not bringing back a Eric Bledsoe type talent, unless they are packaging many players which I don't think they want to do..

Didn't say they would give Bledsoe the max over 4, and he was only included in that list as an illustration.

I don't have any idea what the Rockets are doing, only that it's something. The logjam at PG (and SG to a lesser degree) would be rediculous if you added Sessions and made no other moves.

If you look at it in a vacuum, adding Sessions makes a lot of sense.

    Beverley / Session
    Harden / Daniels

That's a nice, balanced group. Sessions essentially steps into Lin's role.

But then how do you explain Canaan, Johnson, and Ish?

Yeah and then we are locked in at the cap and when Bledsoe blows his knees out again we are stuck...again.

I'm pretty sure a 3rd string pg who likely won't even play provides any kind of leverage

Bev is the starting PG, 30 mins.

Ish with a min contract, could be cut in training camp, if stay, a role similar to Brooks last year early season, insurance 3rd/4th option.

Cannan is the backup PG - Lin's role last year, Daniel is Lin's role last year in the SG side.

Johnson - early in RGV, then depends on Cannan's performance, if he will struggle, then call up, eventually will take over the backup PG role latest mid season.

No way Rockets will trade or offer for Bledsoe.

If Rockets will go after Session, that means Morey does not believe in Cannan at all, most likely he will be gone and/or Sessions will replace Ish and sit at the end of the bench being a cap holder.

Same here. Can't understand why so many are wanting an injury prone player.

I've never bought in on Morey wanting Bledsoe, not at the cost, both asset wise and contract wise. For all the tut tutting over Dragic, I don't believe the Suns will keep both him and Dragic. One goes, one stays. IF Bledsoe blinks (and I think he will) and signs an extension, I think it's simply a matter of Morey outbidding everyone else for Dragic, but I'm not even optimistic over that happening, since there's probably at least one team out there wiling to overpay, and I don't think the Rockets will overpay for a none elite player.

The Suns can't play that game they risk losing both if they do that.

    Also,

Session's stats is vastly inflated last year.

Look closely and you will find out why.

Last season in the Bucks, especially the last month of so, he was played almost 40 plus mins per game, there were 2 games the Bucks against the Heat, both were blown out and the Bucks were losing by 20+ and he still played 41 mins and 45 mins.

It's so absurd that the Bucks were trying everything to throw the games away.

He was a major pickup in my fantasy BB league last season late and I remembered clearly about this.

Getting sessions means one thing: flexibility.

Morey will have the luxury of trading basically any pg on our roster (Beverly, Canaan, Johnson, smith) for another pg (Rubio, rondo, Bledsoe, dragic)

Makes sense. No need to say sorry. At least two of our PF's will have to blow up for us, to have any chance at acquiring Dragic around February. Morey would keep one, and trade the other. We all know how remote the likelihood of that is.

Aslong as it's not Rubio I'm cool with any morey move. Unless it is Rubio then I'll back in the FO as we all should

I agree with holic, you don't bring in Ish on a fully guaranteed contract for training camp fodder, there are myriad other ways to get canon fodder that won't cost you financially. There has to be a plan in place to unload the logjam at PG. Having said that, perhaps Sessions is being brought in to play either the 1 or 2, he could log minutes at the 2 to spell Harden so it's not crazy to think he's being looked at as a combo guard to allow the team to unload 1s our 2s in a S&T.
