Yeah, you're not going to be able to do T6 until you have some way nice end-game gear. Heck... I've been playing for quite awhile, and I only have a couple characters that are even capable of T6 at all, and I still don't play T6 with them because it goes too slow. I mostly play T5 with my WD and DH, as they are my best-geared characters. As AtheistPreacher says above, you always want to play on at least Torment 1 as soon as you can, as playing Torment 1 makes you eligible for "Torment-only Legendaries." All the end-game set armors are Torment-only. Each additional level of Torment beyond Torment 1 gives you a little bonus to Legendary drop rate. Play the highest difficulty you can that you can get through relatively quickly. If you're consistently hacking away at elite packs for more than 30 or 40 seconds, you probably want to lower it a bit, IMO. Agreeing with AtheistPreacher again... there are a pretty limited number of things at the Blacksmith that are true end-game gear. Reaper's Wraps, Aughild's set, Asheara's set to me are all pretty good. I basically ignore everything else. The best items are drop- or gamble-only (gambling is an Adventure Mode thing). The properties of legendary drops for the most part are going to match your class... 85% of the items that drop are "smart loot," so 85% of the time Dex will roll on your drops for your DH, for example. But often enough one of the properties will be something sorta crappy, like Area Damage or Life Regen, when you're looking for Crit Chance or +Elemental Dmg or something. So yeah, you will spend a ton of gold and resources re-rolling crappy affixes. Focus on re-rolling gloves and bracers for the best stats first of all, since they cost the least resources to re-roll. You'll soon be able to toss any gems you have that are below Marquis. Once you get to level 61+, those are the lowest level of gem that will drop, so nothing below those is really worth keeping. Technically you could craft the lower-level ones up, but it's a waste of gold. Jeweler is the biggest gold-sink in the game by far, and you pick up tons of Marquis gems. Since there is no level minimum to use high-level gems, this is actually a great way to level up other characters quickly: once you get a new character to level 15, craft a weapon with a socket (sockets can't appear until level 15). Then stick a high-level, crafted Ruby into it. Then your level 15 character will be 1-shotting everything for like the next 20 levels.
Just being honest bro.. Just because we disagree on a piece of plastic does not mean I'm gonna lie about the truth or try to one up you on something I cant.... I'm getting a little older and once you grow up and find out that chasing after booty can be time/money/emotionally consuming you set your priorities straight on what matters and for me that is a stable future with a mature female when the time is right...
Whatever helps you sleep at night brah..... Oh by the way I was meaning to ask you..... Did you get the Xbox? how is it? Honest question, not trolling.....
Yep, I have one. I like the PS4's interface better; it's less obtrusive. I think the triggers on the controller are overrated, I do like the sticks though. I missed Kinect, but it still has a lot of the same issues. It's nice, but I like the PS4 better.
I think you may just be used to the PS4's interface..... Any interface takes time to get used to but the real question here is how fast can you navigate through the content? I hated the PS3, sooooo SLOW... Xbox 360 was a bit better... I was wondering if the new consoles have faster navigation.... Kinect is Kinect..... Its not going to be perfect, it cant be.... But for the price its pretty impressive in my opinion..... I wont be getting my One until the white one comes out... Aiming towards October and November.... And even though it has not been announced I have my hopes up for a halo edition One....
It's not a matter of being "used to it". The interface is based off Windows 8, yet...despite the fact that I use Windows 8 daily, and also had a 360 there's a lot of issues finding what I need. That's an interface issue, not an issue with me being used to something else. Like I said...I like that the PS4's interface stays out of the way. As for Kinect, I'm hoping it just needs to be re-calibrated a few times.
Agreed with the first part. Couldn't disagree more on the second part. 360 is the worst console interface I've ever seen. It's a wall of ads, and you have to navigate to 3 different places to play video (which are all far apart), depending on what kind of video it is (disc, server, or app). Pinned games lead to uselessly huge tiles that are slow to navigate between, unlike the PS3 where you can categorize your games into folders with smaller tiles. As far as navigation, on consoles, my rankings go something like this (excluding XB1 as I don't have one yet): 360 Blades > XMB >>> PS4 = Wii > 2nd 360 interface >> WiiU >>>>> current 360. Seriously, 360 interface started out great, and they kept making it worse. I do fault the PS3 for taking about 9000 hours to open the PS Store App. Also on the rare occasion I need to adjust mic settings, that's a little buried. But besides that it's an awesome OS.
Newb Diablo question here, but where exactly is the jeweler? The blacksmith is obvious, but am I just missing the equally-obvious jeweler? I just got into Act II last night, so do I not have access to the jeweler yet? Also, what is the best use of gold? It seems like the best weapons and armor are dropped, so no need to spend money on that stuff. I'm just wondering if I should be saving for something big later on. And reading through the helpful comments here, I think I will bump up my difficulty from Hard to Expert. I've just been decimating these poor folk with my Witch Doctor's Acid Cloud.
You spend money to work on the crafters (leveling them up), repairing items, having gems removed / resocketed. Stuff like that...buying random items that you may see that you want. It's definitely not value-less. As for the Jeweler location...it's either early act 2 or act 3 that you get them if I recall (it's been awhile).
You get the Jeweler about halfway through Act 2, so no worries, you probably just don't have him yet. First thing you want to do with your gold and resources is to upgrade your three vendors (...and buy stash tabs? It's been so long that I can't remember if you need to pay for them or not). But besides that, your big gold-sinks in end game will be: 1. Crafting gems with the Jeweler 2. Re-rolling affixes with the Mystic 3. Crafting weapons/armor with the Blacksmith You will spend the most on gems because they're very expensive, plus the game uses crafted gems as the cost to re-roll affixes on legendary jewelry. So if you get yourself a legendary ring with an affix you need to re-roll, that is likely to cost you millions upon millions of gold to get the affix you want. Next-biggest use of gold is re-rolling affixes on weapons and armor. This starts out fairly cheap, but increases in cost with each subsequent attempt, with no upper-limit. So it's cheap if you're lucky, expensive if you aren't. Last is crafting. This can be quite expensive, but since there aren't that many worthwhile crafted items, you cumulatively spend very little on it. You also spend money on repairing and unsocketing gems, but these costs are totally negligible at the end of the day. Yeah, stick with the highest difficulty you can get through quickly. Though keep this is mind: the only benefit to playing higher difficulties from Normal through Master is more experience and gold; there are no loot-based benefits to upping the difficulty until you get to Torment 1. When you hit Torment 1, then you get the added benefit of additional legendaries that are eligible to drop. And then, only at at Torment 2 and beyond does the drop rate of legendaries actually increase.
I don't even mess with video stuff on 360 to be honest.... I turn on console, go to games tile then my games tile and just select game I want to play.... That's it... Every single time... Sometimes I browse demos and the free game but that's it..... I remember the PS3 being horribly slow at loading the Store and downloading games was also a drag.....
But being slow at loading the store (which I agree is true) isn't really an interface/navigation issue. It's a "the PS3 store application sucks" issue. The store thing is notably fixed on PS4, though to me the rest of the interface is a backwards step from XMB.
Yeah, some scary stuff. I posted something a week or two ago about it but no responses! I would never have guessed it was Silent Hill.
We had already discussed it by then I believe. (I mentioned that I'm not into survival horror games typically) With that said, my wife has a friend of her's over this weekend so I thought it'd be a perfect time to play in front of them. I eventually turned it off because nothing would happen, I just kept hearing the baby kind of whine. I stood in front of the door hoping it would jump out or something.
Oh ok. That makes sense then. It is an interesting game. Random stuff, like looking at pictures, triggers other things to happen.
It takes me a few minutes to kill a Elite at T1. I can't tank worth a damn. I'll die in 3-4 hits, so I'm constantly trying to do hit and runs on them while healing. Most people wouldn't consider this fun, but I like the challenge.
I can't believe you're already at level 60 man. I havemt played in a few days think I'm still level 34
