After 8 years with T Mobile, I left and signed up with Verizon. So far a much more reliable signal (ie I can use it in my house). I ended up saving money. My T Mobile bill was $110 a month. Verizon gave me unlimited talk, unlimited text and 3 GB of data for $60 a month plus tax. I get a better signal and save money. Happy!
AT&T is giving me roughly the same deal except 2 GB of data. I own an unlocked GSM phone, so Verizon is not an option.
Tmobile has 4 lines for 100 USD with unlimited data, text and calls. You are going to run out of your 3 GB data unless you never really use it. Verizon and ATT does have a better signal in rural areas, but not so sure how much better it is in metro locales like Houston, Atlanta, Vegas.
I'm seeing 2GB plan for $60. http://www.cnet.com/news/verizon-now-offering-60-plan-with-2gb-data/ I'm currently paying $75 for this plan. Will be switching soon...
T-Mobile always struck me as a little low rent, seemed like they were using Zeta-Jones to deflect from limited quality or service. Sprint's customer and on-site service is antagonistically bad but they invest in enough in their network that you don't have to deal with them too often.
I always wanted to switch to ATT/Verizon back then when I had Tmobile because of lack of coverage but ever since the simple plan came out I've been loving it. We pay 80 for 4 lines with unlimited talk/text/data with a 1gb data limit before they throttle the 4gLTE. Also Tmobile offers a signal booster for your home if you need one. It's free of charge but you have to return it back if you decide to leave Tmobile.
I pay 80 for 500 mins 1000 text and unlimited internet on Verizon I try to run up 30 gb a month as much as I can...
Love Verizon, but it is expensive as hell. Around $175 a month for two lines, unlimited talk and text, and 8 GB data. With the occasional data overage fee once every few months or so. And that's after saving 19% (off of a portion of the cost) with my company discount.
I'm actually thinking about switching from AT&T. Right now with a 4 line family plan, where 2 of those are non-smartphones, my phone bill runs about $200 per month.
I am still not sure how the OP is saving money by switching from T-Mobile to Verizon. I didn't think it was possible unless perhaps you are getting a barebone verizon package compared to unlimited everything from T-Mobile.
Can never be with Verizon. Because of their CDMA network, you are stuck with a limited selection of phones. Too many great devices out there that will never be on Verizon.
How is your bill so cheap???? I have 1 phone, unlimited talk & text, 2 GB Data. With 21% corporate discount. I pay $79.50 plus tax and fees.
I use ATT for my phone, but just recently signed up with Verizon for an ipad. I am paying monthly to own the ipad + my data plan. It comes out to about $60 a month. Very happy with that. So far, the service has been good.
Repped.. my bill went down from $85 with insurance, to about $65 with insurance.. plus taxes and fees of course
