The Bledsoe stuff has been going on for quite some time. And there was no way they'd trade Dragic without having Bledsoe locked down.
I believe you plow, and have just having been posting. What is the most likely now? Rondo, dragic or Bledsoe?
I wouldn't want to bet against Adrien this season, he may be one of Morey's free agent sleepers. And not saying he's in his league, but for what the rockets paid for Adrien I'll take him over what it might possibly cost in aquiring Faried. With Adrien already on the roster, would think they don't need a Faried is all Im saying cuz both fairly similar player that bring rebounding and toughness. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
Nothing blew up. It was just said from a couple other sources that Bledsoe doesn't want a 2 year deal and Phoenix doesn't want our scraps, but we already knew this. I don't see how that would change the timeline.
I think you are forgetting that Adrien played on the Bucks last year. He is nowhere close in talent to Faried. Adrien is a nice pickup for a player in the 20-25 minute range. I'm still surprised by the interest in Faried as it goes against the stretch-4 mentality.
I think most people here trust Plowman....what they dont trust is that everything will go according to Morey's plans.
I think what your forgetting is Im not saying he's close to the extremely talented Faried LOL. Im saying for what it would possibly cost the rockets in aquiring Faried I would rather just go with Adrien because I think he's going to surprise a lot of rocket fans this upcoming season. And by the way since you mention the talent in Faried, besides rebounding (what Adrien does well) what are his special talents?
Just a guess, but I tend to think Morey is fairly upfront with what he's willing to pay. The offer is on the table for PHX and Bledsoe. Bledsoe wants a 4 or 5 year max. We're probably offering 2 years max or 4 years less-than-the-max to Bledsoe. TJones or DMo plus the NOP 1st to PHX. If neither is good with that, then we can move on. There is something about Bledsoe that scares me. He's a PG, which means he won't be eazy to move, and his game is very based on athleticism. There's a decent probability that he would be difficult to move if necessary.
I know I'm not being asked this question, but I'd probably say his very high motor. When the team is flagging inject some Faried and watch the energy level pick up. Rockets' management probably popped some wood watching Faried and Harden on the floor together recently. I'm not saying "let's get Faried". The numbers do indicate that he isn't an overall improvement defensively.
What did blow up, or so it appears, is EB's relationship with the Suns. That is the stickingest point, by appearances. It started perhaps when Sarver said that, and I paraphrase, he hadn't heard from the guy in four months. Hardly sounds familial...
The Rockets are going to need another 8 or 9 million of outgoing salary on top of TJones or DMo's to make it work capwise. Where/What is that?
Rox, if its for his Farieds motor, he's probably got the highest in the league for sure. But am wondering what that would cost the rockets? Faried can change a game just with his energy alone and call me crazy but good defensive rebounding is good defense IMO. Charles Barkley couldn't play great defense but when the opposing team missed a shot there was a very high probability he was going to get the board.
If the Suns are making an 11th hour sign and trade offer of Bledsoe to Minnesota, it must mean they have made progress with Bledsoe's people on what he would accept for a sign and trade. Meaning that after Minnesota tells Phoenix to get lost, Morey can swoop in and pick up the crumbs.
Oops, report says he would only accept 4 years $64 million in a sign and trade. So nothing to see there, folks. Would have liked to have seen a three way trade where we get Rubio.
