Michael Beasley says hi. Plenty of guys fail when they are given minutes without having to earn them. Speaking of OKC, it's interesting to note that James Harden never played as many minutes per game there as Lin did in his first year in Houston.
Uh, Durant was 19 freaking years old when he came into the league. In his second year he averaged 25 points per game. Lin is 25 years old. Lin's ability is the only thing impeding Lin's development.
Delusional LOFs are correct! Morey paid Lin too much, Mchale didn't coddle and trust Lin too much, harden is too efficient, the whole team didn't provide a perfect atmosphere for young lins development. There, can you now gtfo and head to lakers ground ?
KQT - the last 4 pages have been posts from members either before 2013 or people like yourself that aren't Lin only fans. You chastised LOF's (me included) for antagonizing....Shouldn't you now be calling out your fellow fans as well? They seem to be the ones bumping this thread.
This will save $15m out of a $25m contract. Asik and Lin altogether save $20m for the team. In short they pay Asik + Lin $10m for 2 seasons. The Pelicans and the Lakers altogether pay $30m for one season. Who cares about the championship!
Premises: 1. CP improved to a point that somebody gave him max contract (from being a low 2nd draft pick) 2. Harden is now part of the best SG in the league conversation when many people believed we overpaid for him. Nobody is talking about his salary anymore. 3. TJ improved a lot last year 4. Beverly made it to the all defensive team 5. Howard was more effective relative to when he was with the Lakers 7. Asik showed that he can be an effectice starter on any team that does not have DH on it. 6. Dmo is also showing a lot of signs of improvement Conclusion: Rockets did not want to their $25M investment to grow and improve When everyone around me is getting better, maybe it's time to look at what I am doing instead of blaming others for my lack of improvement.
This is a fat load of bull**** This site has PLENTY of traffic without this one thread. Do you want to know why it is still open, I'll tell you. You guys obviously WANT to keep hashing this out or you wouldnt post in it,a dn instead of having you guys post about it all over the forum, there is ONE thread you are allowed to discuss this in......this thread. I can tell you one thing and this is a promise from me.....when camp starts and there is ACTUAL Rockets news to talk about, this thread is a goner. Lin's trade will officially be a Dish subject at that point. Until then, if you want this thread to die.....QUIT POSTING IN IT Jeeze, I can not believe I have to explain it like I'm talking to children.
According to your analysis, the team was improving in nearly every area. Even Lin improved in every aspect of his shooting. They are a bunch of youngsters and admittedly liked playing together and were developing a chemistry....so why on earth would you not sign Parsons to his team option, and keep the nucleus together??? Basketball teams are like offensive lines in Football. If the talent is there, consistency and time together make them jell.
Rockets fans will always be better than Lin fans at any point in time in any country in any city in any tribe in any person in any carbon molecule
This is a board for Rockets fans -- the GARM, in particular. TO ME, it would make more sense for people like you and others who openly state they are not Rockets fans and do not support the team to let it go. But you won't, so carry on. ETA: If there were Rockets fans going over to ******ground or ******lin.net or wherever else you guys post and being intentionally antagonistic, I would feel the same way. It's over. He's gone. --------->
