Actually, many players might not know much about how each GM in the league works. But you can bet agents know how Morey operates.

So you're saying Terrence Jones doesn't get you that? He does have nice handles.

    <Insert unfair trade here>

I just dont see it happening.

The Pelicans pick would for sure be gone, but I dont see them wanting anything we have except maybe DMo

The question isn't whether or not they know how Morey operates. But rather whether or not they know how OTHER GMs operate. Bledsoe was traded 2 times already. Once on draft night and another time 3 years into his career. Both of the teams he's played for, Clippers and the Suns, have had about the same if not more roster turmoil than the Rockets during the past 2 years.

I really doubt every other suitor is rushing in to give him trade kickers and player options to prevent them from trading him.

It seems to me like that all the actors in this situation-- Suns, Bledsoe, other teams-- are still in the posturing stage. Still holding to what they ideally hope to get and not yet ready to settle for what is being offered or realistically could be offered.

Nobody seems in a hurry to go anywhere. With the season still months away there really any deadline that would force anybody to do anything right away.

Bledsoe wants 4 year max. Nobody wants to give him that. Simple as that.

    TRANSLATION

    "These rumors are bogus."

"Unless these rumors are not bogus and the Rockets coincidentally trade for Bledsoe."

I'm not sure I have much faith in these insiders either but it seems like you are trying to "have your cake and eat it too."

I don't read it that way at all..

I think CH is saying that he believes the talks are far less advanced than reports are indicating as there is no real time pressure yet (although not sure if he is factoring in the QO deadline).

Since Bledsoe has already turned down a 4/$48M deal from the Suns, it appears it would take more than that to acquire him. If the Rockets were willing to offer a deal of 5/$56M, what would it take for them to pull off a sign and trade for that type of deal (regardless of whether they would, should, etc.)?

Such a sign and trade would be impossible. Rockets can't offer a 5th year.

The season essentially starts with the opening of camp. Yeah, yeah, Harden trade. But, that was an anomaly. (AnoMoreyly?)

Oops... meant four years. Essentially bumping it from $12m per year to $14m.

Now this is the player you can get by a max contract. The Suns is definitely not going to match it. Go for it! The Rockets will immediately becomes a contender with the addition of Eric Bledsoe.

Do you have the guts to do it? I bet you don't, Morey!

although very talented as shown in limited action, hes not worth max money at this point. there's a reason why nobody in the league is willing to do so.

Except....we can't just up and offer him a max contract because we're over the cap; we'd have to go to Phoenix (and maybe even a third team) with our hat in our hands and see if they'd agree to a sign-and-trade.
