I was at the game against the Twins when Carter hit two HRs that night. That was dandy, as I like to see the train move. But Marisnick also had a homer and I've got to say I like the way he plays.

Hope to see Marisnick get better, glad we got him in the trade.

It would really surprise me to see him on the roster in Sept

No chance the team adds him to the 40-man roster.

Not if you use the WPA (wins probability added) stat. Cosart has been far more impactful towards the Marlins wins in his starts vs. Marisnick has been towards the Astros wins in his starts.

You're also comparing a starting pitcher who's thrown 2 out of 3 quality starts to a bottom of the order hitter, so that would impact things as well.

Sample size? Let's talk next season or later when the two show who they truly are.

You dont truly believe that Marisnick is a feasible option out there do you? Jeff has had a hard on for Colin since last year. This trade had noting to do with Marisnick

Not saying anything other than gauging the trade after the players involved have had some time to prove out their potential or lack thereof.

We all know that switching leagues has helped cosart also. Hitters who havent faced him, have a tough time picking up the cut fastball he has. Small sample size as someone mentioned but he'll regress. Best of luck to him though. Always good to see a local guy have success.

FYI, most posters know not to respond to him. He's the biggest troll on here (as you can now see). Nothing but negativity and looking to pick fights.

His last start was against the Rangers... who've seen plenty of him.

There really aren't "separate leagues" anymore.

I'm a big Cosart fan, and really think that we will regret this trade eventually. Only time will tell

But, the difference in the leagues is real. Yes, there is a lot of interleague play and we have games everyday

But pitching in a league where you have the pitcher in the lineup vs pitching in a league with a DH, is still a big difference. Probably even more for a guy like Cosart who struggles with command, having that pitcher in the lineup that he can just pump fastballs to might come in handy some

Again, I think Cosart is going to be great. But the leagues are very different, when you are pitching to them

Sample size is small, but the biggest complaint against the trade was it traded current production for future production. I find it very funny that out of the gate, this hasn't occurred.
