Incorrect. A deal could have been negotiated in advance and not signed until later. It happens all the time.
Plowman said that within the next 7-8 days, we will hear something official about our pursuit of either Bledsoe or Dragic. Cyberx is having a meeting with someone that gives him Rockets insider info (or someone in the org) tonight, so stay posted! Cyber has been saying he hasn't heard anything about Bledsoe/Dragic, and I honestly doubt that changes tonight. Hopefully Plow is right for the Rockets' sake
Nah with RFA as soon as they're matched that immediately puts their contract on the books. So any other deal would've had to be signed before the RFA was matched.
Not sure doing so would have kept parsons off the RFA market and kept cubes from offering that contract. Cubes doesn't care if parsons negotiated a deal before. He wants to snag parsons and even if a deal were negotiated before parsons wouldn't turn down a better offer from the mavs.
soon you can represent the moon. as long as I keep you in tune. I tell you who you are and why you here. Take in stride cause it might take a year.
And so the waiting goes on Hoping our insiders were correct all along That indeed we are making a move And a new name comes to town Soon we might see what was lost and now found
Even if his meeting is with Morey or Rosas or some other high ranking Rockets official, it's unlikely they'll divulge their discussions with the Suns if any. But if he's meeting with Rich Paul people, then they probably would tell him some stuff.
I think also the fact that the rockets have only won 3 entire playoff games in the last 2 seasons is very telling in having the ball constantly in Hardens hands for the entire season and most of the playoffs. I would like to see things made a bit easier for him so he's got the energy to close out regular season games in the last 5 minutes while having that same energy to play some defense. If the rockets could acquire a Rondo, Dragic or a Bledsoe to pair with Harden in the backcourt, I think both Harden and Howard (plus supporting cast) instantaneously become better players. If the ball sticks in Hardens hands like a lot of what happened against the Blazers then the rockets won't go to far IMO. The Spurs were a great example of real ball movement. Having a James Harden is a luxury for rockets when it comes to having that rare offensive player that has the ability to close games. There's nothing wrong with harden playing off the ball for a few quarters during a game.
