This surprised you? There were Houston fans and writers that said the same thing for his entire tenure here. Some of it might even be true. My opinion on that is, sure, we could have tailored the team or scheme to play to Lin's strengths a little more. Of course no more Harden in that scenario. And we probably win less games. But Lin's performance and stats would certainly have been better.

It's not always about how good you "could" be. It's about how good you are.

You defend jlin saying he is only trash because of his contract.

Look at asik and his contract.

Jlin is trash (meaning no one wanted him unless you throw a 1st round pick) because of his past performance AND his contract. Not one of the other

Umm... Whatever man... Whatever makes u happier and sleep better at night I guess...
I don't think I am jealous of you on anything to be honest and I definitely don't have any kind of needs that would allow myself to go out of ways to make myself feel important or superior on an internet forum. I normally avoid discussion/debate with internet trolls like you but I just hope the amount of trolling on CF can go down to the level that's bearable so it can become readable again.

Anyway, just did a quick google search for you in case you need it in real life to help with your Obsessive-compulsive disorder:

When he sucks in LA they will blame Kobe. This is beyond hilarious.

blaming Kobe might be a legitimate excuse for just about anything this coming year. I foresee extreme volume chucking. He has a whole year's worth of chucking to make up for.

It is tradable....for teams wanting to dump salary. The goal for the Rox is to obtain max cap space, not to offload Lin for assets and additional salary. Also I said the price ranges from2-4M because the average is usually3M. It doesn't really matter because at the highest price of 4M ypu can still buy 2 low firstrounders compared to what the Rox saved by dumping Lin.

You mean the same group of people who wanted DH to resign with them to only bash him after not doing so? The same group who claimed that Houston will regret having him?

If you think clutchfans is crticial of Lin, wait till he has ONE bad game in LALA land and visit their fan website.

That'll be gone by the All-Star break. As much as I think most Lakers fans are arrogant pr!cks, I almost feel bad for them regarding what's going to happen on LakersGround this year.

As for Lin himself, his already shaky confidence will erode quickly after a few withering stares and a "Some of us are going to just have to be more consistent" or two from Kobe. You think there was pressure on him in Houston? Just wait. Kobe doesn't respect teammates who don't bring it every single night.

    No i didn't.

He's a mediocre basketball player because despite a quick first step he has a poor handle to accompany it. His dribble is too lose, has substandard lateral movement, is far too streaky with his jumpshot and has struggled a lot trying to play off the ball, which he has too because he doesn't have elite talent to carry a team.

You just assumed I thought Lin was all that because I made a comment about his contract. If he was getting payed 3-5M he would be far more tradeable, and its more in line with what an average PG salary is.

Asik is CENTER. CENTERS get paid differently to PGs. New Orleans had no issue with the balloon payment because he fits perfectly next to Anthony Davis and on the open market he would certainly fetch something closer to 15m than Lin. Centers get paid

Luckily for Lin, it appears Scott know more basketball than those haters who appears to hate for no reason.

Somewhere down the road, Rox and many fans here are going to look very stupid ... again ...

"MT: To run the team, you have Jeremy Lin, and a question mark health wise in Steve Nash.
Scott: With Nash, it’s going to be interesting. Steve hasn’t played a lot in the last year, and the clock is ticking. I did see him working out here a couple of days ago and he looked fantastic. He says he's pain free for the first time in a while, and hopefully he'll be healthy, number one, and hopefully he’ll be able to provide some things for us on the offensive end especially.

Jeremy is a guy who I like. I coached against him, and I love that he's not afraid of the moment. He doesn’t mind taking big shots, and he’s very gritty, tough and intelligent. Those are all things I think will fit well with things we’re trying to do.

MT: The Lakers haven’t had a break-you-down-off-the-dribble point guard in some time, but Lin can do that; he gets to the paint better than most guys in the NBA. How do you account for that on offense?

Scott: I love that. He’s a triple threat type of player, and can be very effective out of pick and rolls as a result. He can shoot, finish at the rim or make plays for other guys. We also have Kobe that can do that, Steve if healthy can still do that, and Swaggy P (Nick Young) can get his shot at any time. When you have three or four guys that can get shots for themselves or their teammates, that makes us better as a team."

Luckily for Lin the Lakers suck and are bereft of elite players.

I think Kobe will chuck like crazy but none of that changes the fact that Lin isn't a good basketball player. No team will ever run their offense through him. Here the excuse was Harden, there it will be Kobe. For as long as he's in the league there will be someone taking "his" shots. His fans are clueless so it will always be a **** storm. Thankfully they are the Lakers problem this year

If that's the case he rightfully should get criticism but at least he'll be allowed to play PG. My guess is that he'll do fine...

You will be in tears by mid season. I'm actually rooting for Kobe because of people like you.
