I've always had the same number.

Real talk, if I ever had to change numbers, 90% of my contacts would no longer have my number. I don't keep in touch with them and would not notify them that I had my number changed if I did.

I've had the same phone number since I've had a cell phone. I guess that has me running on about 8-9 years now

I see there are a lot of other number keepers. I've had mine since early 2003. Over that time, I've moved to three other area codes and given the number to many (college) classes so students could get in touch easily; I've never had to change it. Representing the 830 - my adopted home region of the Hill Country. It also makes it easier to get in touch with any friends/family there who may be using landlines because of poor reception.

This month makes 12 years that I've had a cell phone, and I've had my 832 number the whole time. I started out with Sprint, and I had this bad ass little blue Samsung flip phone that had the screen exposed at all times. I remember having to choose which area code, then the next 3 numbers from a list of what was available, and the same for the last 4 numbers.

I remember being in 9th grade and this girl from another high school kept asking if I was getting her text messages, but I kept telling her I never got anything. Long story short, my phone received message as web alerts. I had to download them individually.

since summer 2000, I had a pager before that, ironically I found in the closet a few weeks ago

got a 713 number, started out with Aerial, Voicestream, T-Mobile, Verizon, now on the prepaid route, started with Net10, then Aio, which merged with Cricket

    first cell phone Motorola M3188

I've lived in 2 other states now, but I still keep my old 281 number. Can't remember if I updated it in 2007 (changed contracts) or if I've had it since ~ 2004.
