I think the better question is:

Would Morey give Bledsoe the max?

This is a curious question, as Bledsoe and Parsons, to me, atleast statistically, seem to be of similar caliber players. Morey, of course, was unwilling to give Parsons a max, so why would he be willing to give it to Bledsoe, especially when considering the following:
1.) We have a decent PG in Beverley, and at the time of the Parsons negotiations, had no Parsons replacement on the roster.
2.) Bledsoe has significantly more injury concerns than Parsons.
3.) Parsons seemingly only wanted three years, whereas Bledsoe wanted a longer more guaranteed deal.

I am not sure Morey even wants Bledsoe, unless Parsons just wasn't as good as we thought, and Bledsoe is much better than we ever imagined.

Would Morey give to Bledsoe what he wouldn't give Parsons? Would he overpay (a bit) in order to salvage an underwhelming (to say the least) offseason?

I'd be very happy, but I'm more curious about the potential cost to the roster as opposed to Les Alexander's personal wealth.

I think you give him near max, and he takes it. He knows he isn't getting a max deal anymore, so he better take what he can get.
    Parsons didn't get max, because
    1. he isn't worth it
    2. We were in time constraint with Bosh and lost out on other FA waiting for his decision, so the make up of the team was different than it is now.
So while they bring similar numbers to the table, he was replaced by a similar player already, and if you can bring Bev off the bench and have Bledsoe starting, you have upgraded your team, so yes you give him near max.
Similar numbers, but very different situations from when Parsons got max deal

Parsons' contract also has a player option and a trade kicker. Without them, he might still be a rocket.

i wouldn't and definitely don't see morey doing it either. the offer from the suns at $12 mil/yr was fine and one could argue that's a little over for someone who hasn't played a full season as a starter

I agree with your takes on Dmo.

I think his ceiling is higher than Jones, but I think both are nice players.

If I had to give up one though, it'd be Jones.

D-Mo has size. And he seems very coordinated for somebody who is as big as he is. That's why it's frustrating watching him play like crap a lot of times.

    He could be a beast.

Love D-Mo. Wish they didn't want to make him a stretch 4 so bad and put him in the paint where he can use his moves. A la Scola.

If true, then we are almost certainly getting back a starting PF in addition to a starting PG.The question is who?

I'll say this, if we could get Dragic AND Millsap, I'd be willing to trade TJones, DMo, the NOP 1st, Beverley, Capela and Papanikolaou to make it happen.

As much as it would hurt to lose Bev, you'd still have Canaan and Nick Johnson as potential options this season, and Sergio Llull coming over next season. Also, there's the saying "The best time to trade someone is when 90% of people think you'd be crazy to do it". Bev isn't going to be a star, and he's coming off an All-Defensive 2nd team season.

The bench would be dicey, but you'd have a year to figure it out.

Soft is not the word. He lacks a motor on the court.

Well of course you'd trade back-ups for borderline all-stars. Anybody would.

If you could get Dragic and Millsap for some back-ups and a mid first round pick, then do it and worry about the bench later. It's much easier to fill out the bench than to get all-star caliber players.

Having said that, no way would the Rockets ever get both Millsap and Dragic for some back-ups and a decent yet not great pick.

Oh, I forgot Clint. That's old news. He could be gone as well. All 3 of Terrence/DMo/Capela could be gone by Nov. And very distinct possibility of Capela being gone with Terrence.

What he lacks on the court...he makes up for it with his mouth. ;)

By motor most people mean hustle, and hustle is not what Dmo is lacking.

He doesn't get heavy minutes and I haven't felt like it was a motor thing either. He plays too fast at times..needs to adjust to the game and it seemed like he was progressing in that area. D Mo plays really hard.

Easy. Bledsoe is a true 2 way player. Parsons is not.
